When she came down to the ball room everyone was already there. They felt Ella's presence and looked at the top of the stairs. Ella noticed that everyone was with a partner. James and Amber were together, Eric and Aston were standing with girls she did not recognize and Ella was the only person without a partner. Thomas came from behind her and offered her his arm, she took it without a question. (The thing was he never asked her to go to the ball with him)
''You look stunning, Beautiful Fairy.'' Thomas said taking her down the stairs.
''And you look absolutely handsome.'' Ella complemented back.
They headed towards where James, Amber, Eric and Aston were standing with their partners.
''Enjoying the party, now are we?'' said Ella.
''Yes we are El.'' James and Aston replied together.
''Aston, Eric you did not introduce me to your friends.'' Ella said looking at their partners.
''Ah! Ella I almost forgot! This is Princess Jade heiress of kingdom Concordia and I just met her at the reception.''
Ella raised her brows at her brother's last sentence but smiled at Princess Jade and said ''Pleasure to meet you.'' Princess Jade just nodded. Then Ella turned to Eric.
''Ella this is Princess Elizabeth heiress of Kingdom Regulus-''
''And we've been together for two years.'' Princess Elizabeth cut Eric's sentence in the middle. Eric rolled his eyes in annoyance and looked away. She smiled and said ''Ah! so the two of you know quite a lot about each other, I think?''
''Yes, Eric tries to hide most of his emotions but I am good at guessing them.'' Elizabeth replied. If rolling your eyes at the back of your head, then yes, Eric was capable of it.
After that Jade and Elizabeth excused themselves out of the conversation and went to meet rest of royalties and ministers arriving.
''None of you told me how do I look except Thomas.'' Ella said to James and Aston. The two of them glared at her for a long time and finally announced ''Horrible.'' Typical siblings. Ella stared at them open mouthed and turned to Eric for his response.
He looked at Ella from head to toe as though taking in every inch of her body. Amber noticed his gaze and tried to stiff her giggle. Eric suddenly looked away and said dryly ''Yeah, you look nice.''
Ella smiled warmly at his four simple words but said calmly ''At least I can say that there are normal among us.''
''You mean us?'' said Aston.
''Eric look what is she saying about you, she thinks your'e stupid.'' James added nudging Eric lightly in ribs. Everyone laughed at James' light joke.
''No! You know i wasn't talking about you!'' Ella said freaking out.
