I used Silver's phone. To text Zylie.

I sent that just to spite her. Wala na akong pakialam kung anong sasabihin niya. I realized I don't even care if she won't believe it. I just wanted to get even. To have her taste of her own bitter medicine.

Even I can't believe it, after just two wrong tries, I managed to get the password. Well, considering it's just a 4-digit number password, that's like 10k possibilities. Pero after a great deal of deduction, I knew it would be 2536.

It was such a great emotional release. Kahit na baka alam niya namang wala naman talaga kay Silver yung phone. I know she won't connect its loss to me. Sino ba naman ang makakapagsabing ibibigay ni Buknoy ang nahulog na phone ni Silver sa akin? At baka hindi pa nga nila alam.

BUT SHE REPLIED.

"Ok."

She said. I was trying so hard to claw back, but in the end, parang ako pa rin yung talo. It's as if she was just tripping me like she really has the ability to do it. Sinong sumasagot ng 'Ok' kapag nagtext sa'yo ang boyfriend mo ng 'Let's break up'? Alam niya ba? Alam niya bang hindi totoo yun?

Kaya nung nakita ko silang dalawa sa mall. Actually, I knew Zylie saw me first. Pero wala man lang akong nakuhang reaction sa kanya. It's like... I'm just... air. Nakalimutan niya na ba na may kasalanan siya sa'kin. Is it that bad if I think she's the worst person na kahit apologetic face wala siya?

And what more is, hindi rin siya nashock o naging awkward. Naglakad lang siya. I actually saw her first before I even realize that Silver's with her. And they're choosing phones.

It made me confront them. I didn't even realize I was giving myself away... na alam ko pala na nawawala ang cellphone ni Silver. And humans... maybe have a tendency to lie in appalling situations. So I lied. Na kahit nasa akin na ang phone ni Silver, pinanindigan ko na lang na wala.

SILVER's POV

"I just knew..." sagot ni Bettina nung tinanong ko siya kung paano niya nalaman na nawawala ang phone ko.

Naisip ko, baka nasa kanya yung phone ko. Pero imposible. How can she ever get hold of my phone? She was never there when I lost it? Baka makasakit na naman ako kapag pinagbintangan ko siya. I know I left my phone with Zylie nung natulog ako sa kanila. And... Bettina even came running down our house just to rant over a message I didn't really send.

Naalala kong si Zylie ang nagsend sa kanya ng ilang hindi nakakatuwang mensahe kaya siya sumugod sa bahay. Paano nga naman mapapasakanya yung phone kung iniwan ko siya noon sa bahay para puntahan si Zylie.

I remember Zylie giving the phone back. And Bettina was never there.

"H-how?" di ko pa rin napigilan magtanong.

"I've heard you. You're asking her, Zylie here..." she gestured on Zylie "... to choose a phone for you." Dahilan niya. "Why? Do you think I have your phone Silver? Even that?!"
