I exited out of the groupchat with my new friends and looked at the conversation near the top. Fingers trembling, I held my thumb over the notification. Just as I was about to click it, I received another message from Tessa. Taking a deep breath, I clicked on Anthony's message first.

anthony.

hey

I know I'm probably
the person you want
to speak to the least
but I just wanted to
apologize. I'm sorry
for hurting you. That
was never my
intention. It was a
rushed decision,
and quite a bad one.
I care about you a lot,
Callie. I might even
love you.

Um, wow. That was
a lot to read. I care
about you too,
Anthony, that's why
I was hurt so bad.
I do accept your
apology, but I'm not
ready to forgive you.
I would have never
thought about kissing
anyone else but you.
The fact that it
happened to be one
of my friends made
it way more painful.

And I think I might
love you too..

But I need some time

And I need some space

Oh wow you
replied to me.

Holy crap.

If you feel the same way,
will you give me another
shot?

It's too soon, I'm
sorry.

You really hurt me,
I don't think I can
get over it so quickly.

Goodbye, Anthony.
