RWBY: Spider-Man Unlimited 3

Chapter 28- Steel Cold Heart

Counter-Vale Shipyards, 2:00 a.m.
Daniel Bromley was driving in the shipyards, feeling lucky that there were no Machine Men in sight. Unfortunately, he thought too soon when a Machine Man flattened the roof and ripped it off. Then the robot took Bromley and flew away.

The Next Morning, Daily Byte
Peter Parker went to the newspaper building and turned in his photos of Team SVRN in action from last night. There was even one where Venus Deterzo and Lady Vermin were fighting over Spider-Man. The owner Mr. Meugniot looked at them and smiled, "Great work, Mr. Parker was it?" Peter nodded, "Yeah, I was hoping for a cash reward on the photos." Meugniot shrugged, "All right, that is you don't mind taking pictures for the Daily Byte permanently. Since you're the only guy who has decent pictures of the web head." Peter responded, "I guess so." Meugniot smiled, "Good, 'cause I need for another assignment. Before you go, here's your cash." He gave the lien to Peter as he went on his way out.

Peter Parker and Johnny Gallo went to a demolition site behind the fence where certain buildings were being destroyed by a rhino whale Chimera and a mole elephant Chimera. Hippo Lumpkins saw Peter and went to them as he said, "Hey, Pete. What are you doin' here? My boss isn't gonna like humans poking around here." That was then until Hippo's boss, an orangutan Bestial said, "Hey, you stinking humans ain't allowed near a work site." Peter said, "Parker, Daily Byte. The human newspaper. I was thinking of  an article on you safety guys, but if you're not interested..." The two started to leave as the orangutan Bestial called, "Hold on there, pal!" Peter and Johnny turned back as the orangutan Bestial opened the fence door and said, "Come on in. You can even take my picture." Peter muttered sarcastically, "Must be my lucky day." Hippo went back to work as the three went around while Peter took pictures. He even took a picture of the mole elephant Chimera carrying a huge slab of concrete with a scrapped Machine Man on it. Hippo called, "Hey boss! Check this out!" The three went to Hippo as he said, "I was gonna take this into recycling until I saw the servicing number on it." The orangutan Bestial took a look at a pile of scrapped Machine Men until one caught his eye. He realized, "Holy cats! X-51! We got ourselves an antique here." Johnny asked, "What do you mean?" The orangutan Bestial explained, "X-51 is in one of the 51st Machine Men off the assembly line. Been in service for two decades." He went over to X-51 and added, "I'm amazed this can run at all." The orangutan Bestial went over pick X-51 up and smirked, "C'mon, old timer. You'll be much more happier as a recycled cube." Suddenly X-51 disagreed, "Negative. This unit will not be destroyed." The orangutan Bestial replied, "Sorry tin head, but you don't get a vote." X-51 stands up and retorted, "This unit still functions. This unit has value." The orangutan Bestial took out a handheld blowtorch and murmured, "Never seen one of them do this before. Let's take a look under the hood." He pointed it at X-51 who hit away and the blowtorch flew toward the mole elephant Chimera. The device frightened the mole elephant Chimera as it charged into the rhino whale Chimera. The rhino whale Chimera fell down but got up as it turned to charge at the mole elephant Chimera. The mole elephant Chimera dug itself underground as the orangutan Bestial went to his walkie-talkie and said alarmingly, "Central! We need backup! We got a rogue robot here!" The rhino whale chimera destroyed a concrete wall as Peter and Johnny nodded to each other. They started to run toward the fence but the mole elephant Chimera appeared making Peter go over the fence and Johnny still in the demolition site with the mole elephant Chimera looming over him.

Peter quickly pressed a button his wristwatch and formed his Spider-Man nanobot suit.

Johnny was being chased by the mole elephant Chimera. He wished he would change into Ricochet right now but that would expose his identity. Johnny tripped and fell on the ground as the mole elephant Chimera held up a clawed paw over him. Spider-Man spun three web lines to keep Johnny from harm. "Get out of here!" called Spider-Man as he pulled hard. The mole elephant Chimera was too strong as the web lines began to rip away. Then much to Johnny's surprise, X-51 flew in and saved him from the mole elephant Chimera. Spider-Man then leaped over the large animal and covered it with webs. X-51 set a bewildered Johnny down and flew up but was shot down by several other Machine Men. "That Machine Man saved my life," said Johnny. Spider-Man pointed out, "They're not programmed to protect humans."

X-51 was surrounded by the Machine Men as they droned, "Terminating rogue Machine Man." Spider-Man swung down between them as X-51 replied, "Not destroy. Please help me." Spider-Man responded, "You might be a glorified toaster, pal... but that's one request I can't turn down." He spun up a web shield as the Machine Men began firing. Unfortunately the laser blasts started making burnt holes through the web shield. "Hold, Spider-Man," said X-51 in worry. "Do not put yourself in danger." Spider-Man helped pick up X-51 and retorted, "After what you did for Johnny? No way. I'm getting you out of here." Then a familiar female's voice with a Russian accent ordered, "Hold your fire!" Spider-Man and Johnny looked up to see Lady Ursula on her speeder bike descend down as Spider-Man murmured, "Lady Ursula? I never thought I'd be happy to see her." Johnny reminded, "Then again she was our friend before the incident." Spider-Man nodded in agreement until Lady Ursula went to the demolition site.
