Chapter 19- Hobgoblin The Second Part 2

As Spider-Man and Ricochet were slinging across the airborne highway with Venus Deterzo and Nightingale on their backs, several remote-control Public Eye aerial vehicles. Venus supercharged her whip and she coiled it around one of them. She swung the aerial vehicle like a wrecking ball and smashed with several of the other aerial vehicles. "That's my girl," said Spider-Man. Venus smiled and kissed his masked cheek. Several more of the aerial vehicles flew toward Team SVRN and Nightingale summoned several mystical arrows. She hit them all with incredible accuracy and she didn't even need her bow. Finally Team SVRN made it to the building and they were met by a Public Eye officer with a bazooka. Spider-Man muttered, "Oh, great." The Public Eye officer shot a rocket and exclaimed, "Take this, scum!" Nightingale telekinetically shielded her team and Ricochet threw a disc at the officer which knocked him out. Several more Public Eye officers appeared and pointed, "It's the four fugitives! Drop them!" Team SVRN ran toward them and fought back. Spider-Man shot his darts at their weapons, Venus and Ricochet joined together in a flying kick on a bull Bestial, and Nightingale knocked out the last one. Then Hobgoblin II flew to them and smiled, "That's it, partners! Get 'em!" Nightingale stated, "We did not start this, but we will end this!" Hobgoblin II threw a pumpkin bomb in which Nightingale dodged and Ricochet threw an exploding disc at Hobgoblin II. Suddenly several more Public Eye officers approached Team SVRN as Hobgoblin II smirked, "Get them, my friends!" Spider-Man insisted, "He's not with us!" Then Hobgoblin II picked up another pumpkin bomb and shouted, "Incoming!" He threw it at an elevator which exploded a hole into the elevator. Hobgoblin II flew up in the elevator and laughed manically. Spider-Man, Venus, and Ricochet ran to go after him while Nightingale shielded the officers' gunfire. Finally she shot several arrows that disabled their weapons and she joined her team to climb up on the elevator walls.

Finally they met up with Hobgoblin II with several dead Public Eye officers. Spider-Man said, "You're not like the other Hobgoblin we fought." Venus asked, "Who are you? Where did you come from?" Hobgoblin II chortled, "Not yet, spiderlings. Why spoil the mystery?" He ran out and flew down to an elevator system. Spider-Man and his team jumped down after him. Venus cheered, "Woo-hoo! This is fun!" Nightingale reminded, "We are not out of his yet!" They dodged several rings being used to hold the elevators and finally Spider-Man web pulled himself to Hobgoblin II and began punching him. He jumped himself off as Ricochet took a turn in hitting Hobgoblin II. Finally Ricochet kicked him off to the bottom where the elevators go to the first floor. Team SVRN landed safely as Hobgoblin II reminded, "You're not going to get rid of me that way. Wings, remember?" Spider-Man analyzed, "Nanofiber mesh- you didn't do this to yourself. Someone made you!" Hobgoblin II smirked sarcastically, "So perceptive, for a bug." They turned to see four Public Eye aerial gunships fly toward them. "More Public Eye!" pointed Venus. Ricochet figured, "Must've attracted some attention during our skydiving routine!" Hobgoblin II said with fake disappointment, "Just when you were getting warm. Guess we'll have to continue this conversation later!" Then he flew up while several more Public Eye officers ran out to surround Team SVRN. As the team were fighting against the Public Eye officers, Hobgoblin II several pumpkin bombs at both sides. "It seems whoever this new Hobgoblin is," said Nightingale while she flipped over a cheetah Bestial on the floor. "He is not affiliated with the High Evolutionary!" Spider-Man did a spin kick and asked, "If he's not working for the High Evolutionary, then who's he working for?" Finally Team SVRN took down the Public Eye officers as Hobgoblin II threw a pumpkin bomb in which Venus coiled her whip and threw it back at him. Hobgoblin II glared, "All of you ruin all my fun!" He flew away as Ricochet joked, "Hey, some people have to do it!" Venus added, "Especially when their train of thought was derailed a long time ago."

They ran after him into a hallway where the alarms sounded and they were already surrounded by four Public Eye officers. Venus used her super speed to create four flashing copies of herself in front of them. That blinded the four officers as Ricochet threw a disc that bounced off the walls and knocked them out cold. Team SVRN got out of the hallway to meet Hobgoblin II near an elevator. "Why don't we meet up top?" smirked Hobgoblin II as he then flew up. Spider-Man replied, "Don't wait up on my account." Venus smiled, "If we're not here in five minutes, start beating yourself up without us." They got into the elevator as Nightingale presses the up button. The elevator started to go up as Team SVRN prepared themselves for their fight against Hobgoblin II. Venus asked, "So, now we have some new bad guy who's not the High Evolutionary and going after the fragments?" Nightingale nodded, "Yes. We will find out who is after them and how they made this new Hobgoblin." The elevator stops as the team faces against Hobgoblin II who was now imbued with the fragment's power.
