Spider-Man walked out to the exit where the panicked thug ran out. He then sensed danger and quickly rolled over to the side to safety before the bullets from Hammerhead's Tommy Guns could get him. Hammerhead challenged, "You think you can take me? Come on and have a go if you think you're hard enough!" Hammerhead ran out as Spider-Man followed him. Then he stopped as he saw a train turnaround with Hammerhead on it. Hammerhead smirked, "Hey, Spider. Wanna go a few rounds?" Then he used the train turnaround to face Spider-Man with a Gatling gun. "Trust me," quipped Spider-Man. "It'll only take one." Hammerhead laughed as he began blasting at Spider-Man. The webslinger took cover from the bullets as he went into the shadows. "I'll slice you into ribbons!" proclaimed Hammerhead. Spider-Man then went up to the brick wall surrounding the train turnaround to surprise Hammerhead, but the flat-headed mobster was prepared for that as he then pointed the Gatling gun upwards. Spider-Man began running as Hammerhead sprayed bullets at him while using the turnaround. Spider-Man then jumped down to take cover and waited until Hammerhead stopped firing. Spider-Man went into the shadows and quickly avoided the spotlight so Hammerhead couldn't see him. Eventually Spider-Man sneaked up behind him and then shot a web line at Hammerhead, who turned around as Spider-Man pulled himself toward him and punched him in the face before doing a back flip kick. Then Spider-Man shot two web lines and pulled himself to kick Hammerhead on the chest. Hammerhead surrendered, "No more! No more! I give!" Spider-Man asked, "Had enough, huh? How about you hand over the fragment and tell me..." Then Hammerhead slammed his head on Spider-Man's as he fell back. Hammerhead snickered, "Sucker." Then he turned to run away. Spider-Man got up as he muttered, "That was a cheap shot." He web-sling after him.

Spider-Man was in the main train yard where he was then surrounded by Montana and an army of thugs. "I've heard so much about ya, bug," said Montana. "'Course I ain't gonna let ya go with that rock Hammerhead has and the Goblin's personal pet." Spider-Man glared as he thought, 'My girlfriend is not a pet. And I will get that fragment and Venus if it's the last thing I do in this universe.' Montana twirled his lasso in the air and went in to rope in Spider-Man but the web-slinger dodged the lasso but was then grabbed by Ox who gave him a bear hug. Spider-Man struggled in Ox's grip as he then shot two web lines on two thugs' guns and pulled them toward Ox. The hammers on the rifles hit Ox's head hard as his grip loosen as Spider-Man leaped toward Montana and kicked him in midair. He then jumped up and spun a few web lines on a couple thugs. Spider-Man pulled them up and did a 360 degree kick knocking them out. Then Spider-Man turned to see a couple more thugs as they got smart and ran away. Hammerhead growled, "You idiots. You're all worthless!" He turned to see Spider-Man as he pulled out the fragment and challenged, "You want this, tough guy? Come an' take it. Just you and me, mano a mano." Then Hammerhead retreated away as Spider-Man chased after him. Hammerhead ran inside a building as Spider-Man heard him laughing and the building's windows shining through strange lights. Spider-Man walked inside to Hammerhead powered up by the fragment.

Hammerhead looked much the same except his arms were replaced by a Gatling gun and a missile launcher. "I shoulda used this rock sooner!" exclaimed Hammerhead. "First I'll get rid of you. Then I'll get rid of Osborn! I'll OWN this town! Ready for a real fight, tough guy?" Spider-Man went down to face him and replied, "Mister, I was made for it." Hammerhead started blasting his Gatling gun arm at Spider-Man who dodged the bullets and then used two web lines to throw an object at Hammerhead. Hammerhead grunted as he then shot a missile at Spider-Man. He dodged the missile which hit a generator which fogged up the place. Spider-Man jumped out of the fog and onto a platform as Hammerhead was looking for him while yelling, "Come here an' face me, ya yeller!" Spider-Man slingshot himself on Hammerhead's back which made Hammerhead's slam into the ground and Spider-Man leaped off. Hammerhead got as he roared in fury and shot missiles at Spider-Man who quickly evaded them. Then Hammerhead charged at him headfirst as Spider-Man got out of the way and he smashed through a brick wall. Spider-Man attempted to leap away but got hit by one of Hammerhead's missiles as Hammerhead laughed. Spider-Man got back up as Hammerhead charged at him again but Spider-Man evaded from him as he hit the wall. Spider-Man web zipped to Hammerhead and grabbed the sides of his deformed head and slammed his knee on Hammerhead's chin. Then Spider-Man started punching his face and Hammerhead then tried to head butt Spider-Man but quickly dodged that as he then tackled him to the floor. Hammerhead got up as he swung his Gatling gun arm at Spider-Man who leaped up to avoid the blow and he slammed Hammerhead onto the floor with his feet. Hammerhead got unconscious as the fragment floated up to Spider-Man and he took it. Madame Web's voice said to him with sarcasm, "Thank you, Spider-Man. The 'floating head lady' appreciates your assistance." Spider-Man chuckled, "Yeah, sorry about that."

Half an hour later, police detectives Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long found Hammerhead back to normal but webbed up and upside down. "Wanna make the arrest, Yang?" asked Ruby. Yang chuckled, "Though you never ask."
