RWBY: Spider-Man Unlimited 3

Chapter 14- Proving Grounds

Team SVRN followed the Rebels in the sewers. Spider-Man asked, "So, where are we going?" The woman, who had introduced herself as Karen O'Malley explained, "The headquarters of the Revolution. There is someone there who wants to meet you." Finally the seven stopped at a dead end as Nightingale asked, "Why have we stopped?" The a light green beam began passing them as Karen said, "We're being scanned."

Lady Vermin and the Public Eye officers hid behind a corner watching the seven get scanned by the light green light. "What do we do?" asked a gorilla Bestial Public Eye officer. Lady Vermin held an index finger at him as she went to her comm device and whispered, "We found the entrance." The High Evolutionary ordered, " Lady Vermin, continue your reconnaissance. Backup will arrive at your location in mere moments."

The symbiotes weren't too far behind. Spider-Carnage strategized, "Let's ooze ourselves into the pipes, and we'll bring in a surprise attack to the humans, Faunus, and Bestials."

Team SVRN, Karen, Bromley, and the mummy entered inside the secret headquarters. "So this is the headquarters," commented Spider-Man. "How come does everyone have a secret headquarters except for us?" Venus shrugged as she suggested, "But nice, very nice. Could use some track lighting, plants, and maybe a throw rug." Karen replied, "Not too many people from outside the circle have seen this place and lived." Then suddenly several humans and Faunus ran up to Team SVRN and drew their guns at them. Even their rescuers drew their guns at Team SVRN. Then a familiar man's voice spoke, "Which means we have to prove you are the real Spider-Man and his team." The four teammates looked to see a man in the shadows. He walked out of the shadows and added, "Right now." Spider-Man and his team looked at him in surprise. It was John Jameson.

The symbiotes managed to find the pipes over the Rebels' headquarters and grouped together. Agony asked, "So when do we strike?" Riot nodded, "Yeah, I wanna pulverize them!" Spider-Carnage replied, "Not yet. Just when I say the say so." The symbiotes agreed as they waited. Following them were a couple Bestial civilians bonded with symbiotes and under their control.

"Dr. Jameson, we presume?" asked Ricochet. John retorted, "The question isn't whether I'm John Jameson. It's whether or not you're Team SVRN." He grabs Karen's gun at Spider-Man while adding, "If you're the real Spider-Man, then you can dodge this." Spider-Man's senses tingled as he leaped away before the gun shot at him and hit the wall. Venus coiled her whip and took the gun away from John's hand. Spider-Man backflipped to the wall that was over the entrance and stuck there. Nightingale chastised, "We cannot believe this. We four risked our lives to help bring the High Evolutionary behind bars!" Spider-Man jumped in front of John and added angrily, "Now we have to prove ourselves?!" John replied, "You certainly move like them, but the new costumes. I had to be sure." Venus snapped, "You're as bad as your daddy!" John frowned, "Speaking of Dad, who's the photographer that always get those great pictures of you for the Daily Bugle?" Spider-Man answered truthfully, "Velvet Scarlatina." John smiled, "Welcome, Team SVRN." John gestured to the Rebels to put their weapons down. "Hope you understand that I had to make sure," added John. Spider-Man shrugged, "At least you didn't try to completely eliminate us." Then suddenly several Public Eye officers slid down on ropes and began blasting at the Rebels. "The High Evolutionary has found us!" shouted John. He took the gun from Venus' hand and began blasting. Karen  looked at the four and accused, "You led them here! It's the only explanation!" Nightingale reminded, "You led us here." Ricochet scoffed, "Like it really matters a whole lot now." Then suddenly more Bestials with bonded symbiotes broke in to join in the fight. Soon it was an all-out brawl.

Lady Vermin quickly joined in and pounced on John. Spider-Man spun a web line on her and pulled Lady Vermin off of John. "Hey," joked Spider-Man. "Didn't anybody ever told you it's impolite to drop in unannounced?" Lady Vermin leaped on the wall and pounced on top of Spider-Man on the floor. "Do not presume to lecture a Knight of Wundagore on etiquette," smirked Lady Vermin. Then suddenly she kissed him. This did not go unnoticed by Venus. "HEY!!!" yelled Venus. "GET YOUR LIPS OFF MY SPIDEY!!!" Spider-Man shoves Lady Vermin off of him as he spat in disgust. "Ew. Kissed by a rat lady." Lady Vermin giggled seductively, "Ever a truth, I was one to give my heart to a man who can stick to walls." Then she retreated away. Venus went to Spider-Man and slapped him in the face. "Ow," protested Spider-Man. "Off all places." Venus stared at him with fury until a lizard Bestial possessed by a yellow and black symbiote lunged at them.

Three Public Eye officers cornered the mummy until to their shock, the mummy turned itself into bandages and went through the pipe floor underneath them and caged the three into the corner by lifting the floor. The Public Eye officers tried to get out but couldn't.

Spider-Man and Venus dodged blaster fire until suddenly Spider-Carnage showed up. He grabbed Spider-Man and forced him on the wall. Venus ran to help him but was lunged at by Agony.

It was until then Madame Web and Scarlet Spider made it to the battleground. "I fear maybe we're too late," said Madame Web in worry. Scarlet Spider assured, "Don't read the will just yet." He leaped in to join the battle and went assist Ricochet and Nightingale with Riot and Lasher.
