Jacques Schnee, the Silvermane, sat down on his seat of a very expensive restaurant with his daughters and bodyguards Winter and Weiss Schnee, also known as the Silver Sables. A waiter walks over to him and asked, "What will be your order, sir?" Jacques replied, "Just the usual, please." The waiter nodded as he left while winking at Winter. She responded with a disgusted glare. The waiter quickened his pace as Winter continued glaring at him icily. Winter shook her head sighing as Weiss peered at her concerned. Winter gave her a reassuring smile at her younger sister who nodded. Jacques ignored of what just happened and thought about the business at hand. Trying to maintain his rule of the criminal underworld but found that challenging due to his rivalry with that freak show Norman Osborn. If only Jacques could find something or someone to destroy the Goblin's empire.
Spider-Man was on a glass window of the roof above Silvermane himself and the Silver Sables. "Wow, and I thought he was bad enough in my dimension," commented Spider-Man.
"Get your filthy hands off me, you disgusting insect!"
"Okay, first of all, ouch, and second of all, it's arachnid, not insect."
"I should have you put behind bars for humiliating me!"
"I just saved your life!"
"You know what? I'm not going to waste my time arguing with a pompous jerk like you.""And Weiss and her older sister as his bodyguards," murmured Spider-Man. "Still, I have to find the Goblin, stop him, and rescue Venus. First things first, time to have a chat with Schnee." He spun two web lines on the sides of the window and slingshot himself through the window.
Jacques had his dinner ready until he noticed a masked man landed in front of him on the table. Both Winter and Weiss jumped in surprise and took out their swords. Jacques beckoned them to stand down as he could see Spider-Man's eyes through the goggles. "Where can I find the Goblin?!" asked Spider-Man intensely. Jacques glared, "You interrupt me of a meal, and demand where my worse enemy resides? Why should I tell you? Did the Goblin's circus was missing one freak?" Spider-Man glared at him under his mask as Weiss suggested, "Maybe we should hear him out. No one comes here like this without a reason." Jacques turned to see her and reprimanded, "I believe I did not ask for your suggestion!" Weiss looked down ashamed as Spider-Man thought, 'Even in this universe, the great Jacques Schnee mistreats his own daughter.' Winter frowned, "Weiss does raise a valid point. Maybe we should give what this man wants." Jacques looked at her and sighs, then reluctantly agreed, "Very well." He turns to face Spider-Man and asked, "Do you wish to find Norman Osborn?" Spider-Man nodded as Jacques asked, "Why do you want to?" Spider-Man responded, "That's for me to know and for you not to." He shrugged, "Very well. Norman and his freak show reside in an abandoned carnival." Winter advised, "I wouldn't go full on if I were you. You must stop a man named Joseph Lorenzini, better known as the Hammerhead. He's the only one who could stop you from finding Osborn." Weiss repeated, "Joseph Lorenzini? Isn't he the man you used to date?" Winter answered solemnly, "Yes, but I had to break up with him because Hammy was becoming too clinging to me. Plus I know he killed Fancy Dan when he tried to make a move on me." Weiss remembered, "Fancy Dan... Isn't he the one everyone called 'Fancy Dan, the Ladies' Man'?" Winter nodded, "Yep, was until his fellow Enforcers found him dead in a garbage can." Spider-Man commented, "Oh, man, Fancy Dan." Jacques added, "Anyway, my sources tell me that Mr. Lorenzini is making a delivery for Mr. Osborn of some sort. Maybe some kind of a relic that fell in the outskirts of Vale. Osborn always had a fascination with ancient relics. Now, for giving you this information, it is going to cost you." Spider-Man asked, "What?!" Jacques replied, "Information like this isn't cheap. You must give me something in return. Perhaps, working for me? I promise you, with your gifts, I can make you very rich. You can be a hero and save the day, as long as you look the other way. On any occasion I choose. Do you accept?" The Silver Sables looked at him with shock and disgust. Spider-Man was taken aback. He remembered when he looked the other way once.
Right now, Peter was on his way to the Daily Bugle and he was ordering a hot dog with ketchup. Then he saw a couple police cruisers with a few officers running past him. Peter watched them as he shrugged nonchalantly and took a bite out of his hot dog.
Spider-Man refused, "No. I will never look the other way. Never again when I am so close." Jacques smirked, "Come on, surely a young man like you must have needs and wants. Or are you just a very naïve insect?" Spider-Man gritted, "I'll give you something in return all right." He placed his foot on Jacques' chest and kicked him off of his chair and onto a certain General James Ironwood's fancy shrimp fettuccine alfredo with specially homemade garlic bread. Winter and Weiss smirked at their father's misfortune as Spider-Man got off the table. He apologized, "Sorry about the mess. He just made me mad." Winter assured, "Don't apologized. He got what was coming to him." Weiss shook her head as she added, "Thinking he can buy everyone off with the Schnee Fortune." Spider-Man said, "Thank you for the info, but I can let myself out." He shot a web line to the hole on the ceiling window and launched himself out as he web swung to find Hammerhead.
