While Spider-Man, Venus Deterzo, and Nightingale Teamed Up With Vulture... John Jameson, Ricochet, and Scarlet Spider entered in Peter Parker and Venus Deterzo's apartment only to find the couple and Nightingale wasn't inside. "Are you sure that Spider-Man and Venus live here?" asked John. Luckily John didn't know Peter and Spider-Man were the same person. Ricochet assured, "We're sure we do. Nightingale and I often visit here. Nightingale wanted to have a girl's night with Venus last night." Scarlet Spider chuckled as Ricochet crossed his arms. Suddenly John grabbed the sides of his head as he began to wreck the place. "Uh oh," muttered Ricochet and Scarlet Spider.
The three teammates were on their way back to the apartment on the saffron truck as Venus said, "It's almost daylight." Nightingale spoke up, "There is something we need to tell you. The Rebels have not seen Colonel Jameson for some time. You see, he has..." They finally made it to the apartment building where they saw a couch fly out of the door. "That was our favorite cuddle couch," pouted Venus. The three teammates ran down to see what was going on and saw Scarlet Spider and Ricochet on the floor hurt. Spider-Man and his teammates ran to them as Nightingale asked worriedly, "Are you all right?" Ricochet pointed out, "Maybe we should be more worried about HIM!" Everyone turned to see a feral white-furred wolf Bestial snarling at them.

Unfortunately Anne Weying was here and the werewolf threw a lamp toward her head. Spider-Man spun a web line and pulled it away from her. "Get to safety!" called Spider-Man. The woman nodded as she quickly ran out. The werewolf turned its attention toward Spider-Man as it rushed toward him. The web-slinger jumped on the ceiling and the werewolf slammed against the wall. "I don't like my friends getting mistreated," said Spider-Man. "Maybe you'll need to learn some manners." He aimed his wrist toward the werewolf as Nightingale quickly objected, "Stop! Do not hurt him!" The web-slinger looked at her confused and asked, "Hurt him? What about me?" The werewolf quickly got up, grabbed Spider-Man, and smashed him through a wall. Venus rushed through the wall and kicked the werewolf off of her boyfriend. The two teammates stood side by side as the werewolf pounced toward them and dodged him, making it crash into a couple of trash cans. "What's the matter, fur ball?" quipped Spider-Man. "Not into the vegan lifestyle?" Venus ran toward the werewolf with superhuman speed with her bullwhip twirling as it hit her aside. Spider-Man got angry as he leaped toward the werewolf but it punched him hard and Spider-Man got hit onto a brick wall. Venus ran to help him as Nightingale showed up and the werewolf looked at her. The werewolf rushed toward her but Ricochet jumped on him. The werewolf forced Ricochet on the floor as he struggled to keep the werewolf's yellow fangs from his face. Nightingale nodded, "Just keep him occupied a little longer!" Ricochet replied, "Easier said than done!" Spider-Man and Venus came over as the Chimera cat Faunus asked, "What is going on?" Finally the sun rose up as the werewolf stopped attacking as it changed into none other than John Jameson! Spider-Man and Venus asked in unison, "Jameson?!" John panted, "Afraid so, web-slinger."
Spider-Man and Nightingale helped John onto a couch as Nightingale explained, "We have been treating him for several times. He was to come to us for several convulsions." Scarlet Spider added, "Before you guys came back, he changed into that Man-Wolf you saw." John asked, "Did I hurt anyone?" Nightingale assured, "You did not hurt any innocent people, thankfully." Venus asked, "How did this happen?" John responded, "That's something I don't even like to think about." Spider-Man reminded, "Sorry for the pun, John-John. But if the cat's not out of the bag, the wolf sure is." Venus crossed her arms as John explained, "When I first came here, the High Evolutionary had me in his lab and put me through experimentations. Turns out they were the preliminary stages of Bestial transformation. He wanted me to turn into some kind of wolf creature. I was rescued before they could complete the process." He rubbed the side of his head as he added, "But a part of me still remained of a mindless animal." Nightingale said, "We were charged of keeping his negative impulses in check for 24 hours everyday as Scarlet Spider makes a biotech implant to make sure the body thinks it is under sunlight." Spider-Man asked, "What went wrong?" Ricochet replied, "It shorted out. It's still a prototype. And her healing powers often do a number on Nightingale's aura." She insisted, "We are fine. We can still help until there is a permanent cure to be made." Spider-Man commented, "This is one heck of a predicament. What are your buddies in the movement gonna think if you're an undercover Bestial?" John replied, "They can't know anything about this. They wouldn't understand." Then they heard blaster fire outside as everyone rushed out. "Hey, who's gonna pay for the damages?!" yelled the doorman.
Several Machine Men flew down and announced, "Team SVRN, you are wanted for crimes against Counter-Vale! Surrender immediately or face the consequences." Team SVRN, John, and Scarlet Spider ran out and began fighting against the Machine Men. John and Nightingale shot at the Machine Men while Venus confused them with blinding light copies of herself. Ricochet kept throwing his discs at the robots but had little effect. Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider joined together to entangle the robots in webbing as they quickly saw one of the Machine Men about to target John and Nightingale near a tanker truck. The two rushed down before the robot's laser shot made the truck explode. Then everyone was surrounded by the Machine Men.
