Chapter 26- Deadly Choices Part 2

Git Hoskins got back up and ran to retrieve the cylinder device but he couldn't ignore the Machine Man walking toward Team SVRN. Git jumped on the Machine Man's back and used his bandages to destroy the robot. That turned him into a pile of bandages but he reformed back to his mummy-like state and grabbed the cylinder device. Git put it inside his abdomen and ran off as Spider-Man commented, "You know, people keep shooting, namely me and my teammates, but not taking the time to talk." Then Team SVRN turned to see Sir Ram, Lady Ursula, and Lady Vermin on their speeder bikes as Ricochet muttered, "The Wundagore Welcome Wagon?" Lady Ursula turned to Sir Ram and asked, "Status, Sir Ram?" The ram Bestial answered, "Git escaped us." Spider-Man asked, "What are you guys doing here? As if I didn't know." Sir Ram responded, "We might ask the same of you, Spider-Man, but there is no time for pleasantries." Spider-Man replied, "I don't remember asking you, muffin man." Lady Vermin warned, "Tread softly, my love. If you insult one Knight of Wundagore, you insult us all." Venus Deterzo huffed, "Well, that's convenient. And will you please stop calling my tiger your love?" Sir Ram reminded, "Hence, Lady Vermin. Our own survival as well as the survival of our city depends on finding the bio-container Git has stolen. Let us resume the hunt." They started to leave but Team SVRN stopped Sir Ram and Ricochet said, "Hold it, sheep dip. Git's helped save our bacon from you guys more than once." Nightingale added, "This surely makes it our business to why you are chasing him and what this bio-container is and what is in it." Sir Ram huffed and explained, "It's a viral agent stolen from my lab capable of mutagenic changes in living tissue. It is also highly contagious with an airborne vector. Now stand aside, insect!" Spider-Man reminded, "I keep telling you, it's arachnid. And what gives?" Ricochet recalled, "The last time we saw you guys, you wanted to chase us all over to the lower Eastside to kick our butts." Venus added, "And slice us up six ways to Sunday." Sir Ram reminded, "Make no mistake, parasites. I shall indeed 'kick your butts' and 'slice you up six ways to Sunday' and take great pleasure in doing so. But presently, more pressing matters rob me such enticing diversions." He turned to his fellow Knights and ordered, "Proceed to search on Grid 7." Then they flew away. Spider-Man muttered, "This is not how I thought today would be. What does a masked vigilante plus his own team have to do to get arrested around here?" Nightingale reminded, "We should probably keep an eye on them." Venus suggested, "But since we can't keep up with them..." Spider-Man nodded, "Spider tracer will have to do." He aimed at Lady Vermin's speeder bike and shot a tracer which attaches to her bike without her noticing. Spider-Man sighed, "Contagious. I really don't like that word much." Venus nodded, "Especially me with root canal and broccoli." Nightingale stated, "We have to find Git before Sir Ram and his Knights do." Team SVRN agreed as they quickly hurried to find the Resistance.

Meanwhile, Git Hoskins managed to elude the Knights of Wundagore and the Machine Men as he went out of a sewer lid and began to rest in an alleyway. Git takes out his lunchbox and sees a picture of himself as an eight-year-old kid with a festive tree.

Flashback to 10 years ago, Alchemax At Sir Ram's Lab
The eight-year-old Git Hoskins was subjected to experimentations by Doctor Ram. The heartless Faunus held out a syringe which made the young boy panic.

Present Day
Git put away the photo as he heard sirens and bolted away before the Public Eye could find him.

Team SVRN made to a Rebel group alongside Karen O'Malley, Daniel Bromley, and Scarlet Spider. They explained the whole situation with them as Karen stated, "Git was supposed to meet us with the container he stole from Sir Ram's lab to us. Instead he's disappeared with it." Bromley spat, "The blasted High Evolutionary making a biological weapon planning to get rid of our kind." Spider-Man said, "Sir Ram said it was some kind of highly contagious virus." Scarlet Spider stated, "The virus is the least of our worries." Karen explained, "The container has a built-in failsafe device counting down the moments the material at the lab." Bromley said, "The moment we found out, Git left on to the mission cover. No where to find him but the moment it triggers in the next two hours..." Venus asked, "What kind of failsafe we talking about?" Bromley answered, "The bomb. According to our intel, unless the two bolt codes are in, it will fire in a circular area about 25 meters in diameter." Scarlet Spider added, "Of course if anyone puts the bolt codes without unsealing it triggers immediately." Karen said, "Which is why we have to find Git. By the time he gets to the rendezvous point it may be too late." Nightingale asked, "Sir Ram mentioned something about Grid 7. Can we find it?" Karen nodded, "We've broken some of their codes, this might be one of them." She reached for her scroll and dialed a number. Bromley asked Spider-Man, "What do you have in mind, son?" Spider-Man answered, "If there's a chance we might find Git, is if we and the Knights join together." Bromley was taken aback by that suggestion. Scarlet Spider assured, "I'm sure my brother knows what he's doing. I hope."
