Chaz POV

I dialed her number faster than ever before. I prayed that this time she would pick up even after all we went through. I needed her more than she knew I did.

Lord please let her answer.

Lonnie POV

I was driving all around town to all the possible places that I could remember that she could go to. It honestly couldn't be that far since she's in a wheelchair - unless she got kidnapped, which I highly doubt.

I go to the park checking around for her. I even ask a few friendly people if they had seen a teenaged girl in a wheelchair rolling around. I had no luck, so I went back to my car to think some more about where she could be.

I was driving to the store then my phone rang. Ironically, it was her calling me. I picked up the phone in a flash and swiped the answer button.

"Hello?"

"Lonnie.." she was breathing short quick breaths. I could already tell something was wrong. "Help me. Please. I need you." I can hear her crying through the phone.

"Where are you? You okay?" I asked.

" No. I'm home.. It's my dad."

All I had to hear was "dad" and I was triggered. I knew something was up when he answered the door. I shouldn't have left so easily.

I turned my car around so swiftly that for a moment I was driving on two wheels.

"Did he hurt you?!" I asked with a concerned tone.

"Yes. Please hurry before he gets up. He's really strong and I can't fight back. Lonnie I'm scared."

"I'm on my way. Stay on the phone."

I was speeding all the way there. I barely stopped for stop signs, thank God I didn't get in any accidents. It took me about 3 minutes til I finally got on her street.

I started to hear noises from her end of the phone.

"Chasity? What was that?"

I hear it again.

"Chaz! You okay?"

She still didn't respond. I barely heard her breathing.

I grabbed my gun out my glove compartment.

"Chaz tell me a way in. Chaz talk to me"

I got out my car and all I heard was silence.

I had to think fast since she wasn't answering me. I had to find a way in on my own.

I thought about windows and doors. I didn't think any windows would be open so I searched the doors to see if any were unlocked.

To my luck the side glass door was unlocked. I tried to be as quiet as possible.

Trying to match sounds from the phone to the sounds in the house was not working. I hung up the phone stuffing it in my pocket.

I heard a voice coming from the end of the hallway. There was a door cracked open.

I tiptoed as quietly as I could.

"C'mon sweetheart. Open the door for daddy." I could hear him attempting to open the door but failing to open.

"Chasityyyy. I'm not gonna keep asking nicely. You open this door right now or I'll break it down and I won't be nice."

I walk through the door with my gun pointed at him. "Try it and see what happens."
