CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
<Alex’s POV>
Lunch at Hontiveros’ Residence.
Wow.
“Alex! Come in! I’m glad you could make it!” maligayang bati sakin ni Tita Steph pagkabukas niya ng pinto sa bahay nila.
This house is way too familiar to me. Hindi pala sila lumipat ng ibang bahay.
“Of course, Tita. Anything for you.” Sabi ko naman.
“Sorry for the few messes there are.
Oo nga po eh. 4 years.
“Anyway, I am really glad you’re here. Lunch is almost ready.”
Tita pinched James’ cheek. I bit my lips to suppress a laugh.
“Mum, I’m already 16 years old. Stop treating me like I’m still akid.” He pulled his face away from his mother’s hand.
“Nonsense, honey, you’re 15 and half! Meaning you’re still a kid.”
“But—“
“End of conversation.”
James grunted. Now I know kung kanino niya nakuha yung pagiging taga-bara.
“Yeah, Baby Jay-jay, it’s just nonsense.” I said slowly as I shook my head. I smiled really sweet. Yung tipong nakakaasar. “I mean, what’s wrong with Baby Jay-jay, Baby Jay-jay?”
“Shut up.”
“James Joseph!” Tita gaped, hand covering her open mouth.
“What?”
“That is rude!” saway ni tita.
“But—“
“Yes, Tita.
“Jay-jay?!”
“But—“
“Say. Sorry.” Tita said firmly.
“Fine. Sorry. Happy now?”
“Try being more sincere…”
“It’s okay, Tita. I know that he can be impossible.” I sympathetically said.
“Ugh, I know, right?”
“Uh, I’m still here!” angal ni james.
I sarcastically said.
“Inaaway mo si Alex, jay?” Tita almost flipped.
I am really enjoying this.
“What—no! That’s a lie!”
