Start

The sunrise keeps my skin fair. I wore my sunglasses 'to protect my eye. Wearing my black swimsuit, all boys here kept their eyes on me. I suddenly feel guilt. Umayos ako ng upo at bahagyang napa awang ang bibig ng lalaking kanina pa malagkit ang tingin sa akin. I gave them smile I'm sure they won't like.

"We have to launch our new magazines tomorrow afternoon. You need to attend the press, 'too. Please be responsible for this, Lorraine." My manager said.

"I don't want annoying questions of the press. They kept on asking me if I have special someone. Like..err! I'm not fan of those kind of staff. So don't expect me to be there." Umirap ako at pinatong ang bathrobe sa katawan ko.

I looked at the cottage who has group of friends. Mix of boys and girls. Three of the boys are looking at me. Umiwas ako nagdiretso na sa unit ko dito sa condo. Oh! I miss being alone because of my busy schedule. I really don't have 'time for myself.

I washed my body on my shower. After that, my assistant called me for lunch. Mabilis akong bumaba, wearing my yellow spaghetti strap and my kikay palda. I smiled with the stuff. Nakita ko ang iba't ibang putahe sa lamesa namin. Bigla akong nagtaka. They think I will eat this all alone?

"Ma'am Lorraine, your parents will be here any minute now. Gusto daw po nilang malaman kung anong improvement sa company niyo, po." One of the stuff said.

Nagsalubong agad ang kilay ko. "Bakit hindi nila sinabi sa akin? I thought they're going to Palawan for checking our new lot."

Hindi pa nakasagot 'yung stuff, may maingay na busina ang umalingasaw sa buong resort. I saw our vios black van in the parking area. Our two drivers wearing their uniform open the door of the passenger seat and the the driver's seat revealing my mom and dad.

Tumango si mommy sa driver. Inalalayan siya ni daddy papunta sa kinauupuan ako. Oh! This week will be my freedom.

"Good afternoon, mom, dad..." Tumango ako.

They sat in front of me. Dad looks good in his gray suit and mom in her v-neck dress and not so high stiletto.

"Let's eat first..." Anyaya ko.

I gave them their plate. Nagsalin sila ng kanila at ako naman ng sa akin. Lahat ng tauhan ay nakapalibot sa amin na parang isa kaming mamahaling bagay na hindi pwedeng mabasag.

Sumubo ako at hindi ko maiwasang hindi puriin ang chef sa resort na ito. They're always doing their job and I like it. I love people who obey jobs for themselves. Without anyone's command.

"I heard from 'your manager that 'you are launching your next magazines? How was it?" Daddy asked as he keeps sipping on the pineapple juice.

Mom smiled. I know she's very proud of me. Ito na ang pangarap niya para sa akin nung nagsisimula pa lang ang Ronz' Magazines. I noticed how they worked hard for this and it's an honor to give this opportunities to handle the head model of this company.

"It was very fantastic, dad. Besides the stuff we're good. They're treating me good." Nagsalin ako ng juice sa baso ko.

"What is the theme of your magazine again?" Mom asked.

"Uh, I think beach because when I'm touring, my manager always finds a place who have high quality beaches."

Ngumiti si daddy. Binaba ko ang tingin ko sa pinggan kong wala ng laman. Masyado ata akong nagutom sa kakababad sa dagat kanina. I feel so tired and I want to rest. But now that my parents are here I think I have to tell some necesessary things about my jobs.

"Where's Trevor, 'dad? How's his school?" I suddenly asked.

"Don't worry about 'your brother, Lorraine. I bet he's doing good now." Mom chuckled. I raised my left eyebrow.
