Chapter 5

"Welcome back Dom!"

"Congrats to your sold-out concert in Los Angeles!"

Salubong sa akin ng mga big bosses sa Star Center.

"Thank you Sir Gab and Miss Claire, my concert in L.A was awesome!"

"Hindi talaga kami nagkamali sayo Dominic, you are one of our treasures here in Star Center" si Miss Claire.

"Claire is right Dominic, I'm sure Paul is very proud of you" Sir Gab was referring to my dad Paul Pascual.

"Oh speaking of dad, is he here po?" Naalala ko hindi pa pala ako nakakatawag kay dad since pag alis namin sa L.A. i know he is a busy man.

"Your dad went to Cebu, dun kasi ang next location ng shooting for his movie"

Tumango nalang ako, naghanda pala sila ng foods kaya kumain narin kami.
Nag vibrate ang cp ko, unregistered number flash on the screen.

"Excuse me, i need to take this" tumayo na ako at sinagot ang tawag

"Dom" isang mala anghel na tinig ang nagsalita sa kabilang linya, my heart skip a bit when i heard her voice. It's been what? 1 year since the last time i heard of her.

"Elaine"

"Glad you still recognized me Dom, i heard you had a concert here in L.A bakit di mo man lang ako kinontak?"
May halong pagtatampo ang tinig nito.

"You know i can't do that" i managed to say in a cold tone.

"Dom, hanggang ngayon ba galit ka pa sakin?"

Hindi ako nakasagot, actually i don't know what to say..
Galit ba ako?
Maybe.

Elaine, she's my bestfriend and at the same time my first love. Mas matanda sya sakin ng isang taon but our personality match each other.

It was last year when i confessed my love for her..

Flashback

" hey Dom, what's your plan?"
Si Diego.

"I will confess my love to her, di ko na kayang itago Diegs"

"Do you think this is the right time? Diba kaka break mo lang kay Selena?"

Selena Marquez, my ex-girlfriend. She's an actress. We've been together for 5 months when i broke up with her. I realized that i'm madly inlove with my bestfriend kaya nakipag break ako kay Selena.

"Dom, baka isipin ni Elaine na ginagawa mo syang rebound" dagdag ni Diego nung hindi ako nakasagot.

"It's because of Elaine kaya nga nakipag break ako kay Selena diba, my heart only beats for her, in denial lang talaga ako at first"

"So what if kung mag confess ka sa kanya layuan ka nya?"

"I can't believe you dude, you are full of negativity"
Ewan ko ba dito kay Diego, he's always like that, instead of looking at the bright side, laging may negative "what if's" ito. Maybe he was just being realistic. Marami talagang nasisirang friendship kapag nahaluan na ng "malisya"

"Dom, i'm just stating the possible consequence ng gagawin mo but if your decision is final, i will support you"

"Oh yeah right! I will confess my feelings for her tonight"

"What??? Ang bilis naman ata, akala ko mag paplano pa tayo ng surprise for her, yung perfect place, perfect ambiance with someone playing the violin and then you will kne-"

"Dude! Tama na tumatayo balahibo ko sayo!" Putol ko sa sasabihin nya. Di ko akalain na sobrang cheesy pala ng mokong nato.

"Just kidding!" Pero namumula na ito.

"Ok, whatever dude"

Elaine's birthday party

"Dom and Diegs! Kala ko hindi kayo pupunta" nag pout pa ito which make her more beautiful. Bagay na bagay sa kanya ang suot nyang tube fitted above the knee red dress. Simple but elegant.

"Happy birthday El, sorry medyo late kami, nag iipon pa kasi nga lakas ng loob-" di na natapos ni Diego ang sasabihin siniko ko na sya.

"Ouch dude!" Angal nito. Hindi ko na sya pinansin.

"El, happy birthday!" Niyakap ko na sya, she really fits perfectly when i wrapped my hands around her.

"Thank you Dom!" Kumawala na sya sa akin na gusto ko pa sanang tutulan, "can we talk later Dom? May sasabihin ako sayo"

Well maybe that is the perfect time to tell her what i feel for her kaya tumango narin ako.
After that ay tumuloy na kami sa loob, there are many familiar faces mga friends din namin. Kasalukuyan ay nasa bar area kami ni Diego nang lumapit si Elaine.

"Excuse me Diegs, hihiramin ko muna si Dom ha"

"Ok go ahead" nag thumbs up pa ito sa akin.

Pumunta kami ni Elaine sa garden nila. Medyo kinakabahan ako but it's now or never!

"May sasabihin ako Dom/ I have something to tell you" sabay naming pagputol sa katahimikan.

"You go first Dom"

"No, ikaw na muna El"

"Cge na Dom, magkakahiyaan pa ba tayo?"

I took a deep breath..

"El, we've known each other half of our lives, you've been there for me through ups and downs.."

Nanatili lang syang nakikinig so i continued..

"I don't know how to say this, but i know in my heart na matagal ko na tong nararamdaman. It just happened El, I love you"

Bakas ang pagkagulat nito pero nanatili lang itong nakatingin sa kanya, her face was full of emotions na hindi ko mabasa kung ano ba talaga ang nasa isip nya.

"El, please say something.."

"Dom...i'm sorry, i love you but as a friend, as my best friend."

I don't know how to react, i felt my knees weakened but i still manage to compose myself. Ayokong makita nya akong nasasaktan i want to save my pride atleast.

"I-i understand El i just want to tell you what i feel" tatalikod na sana ako nang bigla syang magsalita.

"I'm leaving Dom, dad and mom decided na sa Los Angeles na ako mag-aaral"

"I will stay there, for good.."

I'm stunned, i just fell down on my knees.

End of flashback

"Dom?" Naputol ang pagbabalik tanaw ko ng muling magsalita si Elaine.

"Dom? I said i'm going back, i want to see you, i want to talk to you. I want to fix everything between us Dom, i miss you, "

Nagpatuloy ito sa pagsasalita at ang sumunod na sinabi nya ay ikinagulat ko ng husto..

"I-i think i have f-fallen for you Dom, i think i-i'm also inlove with my bestfriend."
