"He's your boss?!" Umalingawngaw ang malakas na boses ni Cassie sa restaurant na kinakainan namin.

I'm now having dinner with my friends sa isang fancy restaurant along the streets of BGC. It's all on me since it's my post celebration. But should I even celebrate being hired? Hindi pa nga ako tumatagal eh suko na ako.

"Unfortunately, yes he is.." I sighed habang nilalaro ang glass wine.

Tapos na kami kumain at nandito nalang kami para uminom ng sparkling wine. I didn't order any alcoholic beverages since lahat kami ay may pasok kinabukasan.

"Bakit hindi ka nalang mag-resign? Sabihin mo nag-bago isip mo or something like that," Jane suggested.

Naisip ko rin naman yun. In fact I almost submitted a resignation letter kanina before going home. Good thing I stopped myself after the last paragraph.

"Kung pwede lang eh. But I already signed the 6 year-contract. Besides, that's too unprofessional," sabi ko.

Lahat kami ay natahimik sa table. Katulad ko ay nabigla rin sila sa nalaman. Dahil bukod kay Brian at Chantelle, sila lang naman ang nakakalam ng tungkol samin ni Max.

And thinking about it over and over again won't do me any good. It can also affect my mood at work so I'm planning to forget everything after this.

I'm in a good company. Yun nalang ang dapat kong isipin. There are so many benefits of being a worker there. Hindi ko dapat sayangin yun.

"Sabagay.. but will you be okay?" Vee asked. Hanggang ngayon sila pa rin ni Brian and I'm happy for them. Going strong sila. I wonder if may plans na sila magpakasal. They are of age after all.

Tumango ako at ngumiti sakanila.

"Oo naman," I replied even though I'm unsure about my answer. Hindi ko alam if I'll survive it but I have to.

Tumahimik kami sa table. It's already quarter to 10 and I still have work tomorrow but it's okay because minsan nalang kami magsama sama. Plus, I enjoy their company. Feeling ko malulungkot ako mamaya pag wala na ulit sila.

"I find it weird why he can't remember a single thing about you.." Cassie said. She poured another glass of sparkling wine.

Cassie's new hair fits her so well. Mas nag mukha siyang mataray but she's still hella beautiful. I wonder bakit wala pa rin siyang boyfriend? Any guy would be so lucky to have her.

"Brian told me everything. He said that Max, after the accident was...," biglang nagsalita si Vee sa gilid ko.

She looked at me at tumingin din ako sakanya pabalik. She looked hesitant na para bang hindi niya alam kung dapat ba sabihin niya saakin. Please tell me, Vee. Because wala akong alam na kahit ano tungkol sakanya. I want to understand.

Understanding means letting go of the anger and pain just to completely forgive the person. In this case I want to forgive. Pag marunong ka magpatawad, it's easier to move on. But with Max, wala naman siyang kasalanan saakin because it's my decision to leave. I guess it's me-- I have to forgive myself.

"He was worse compared ngayon. He's much better now pero noon after the accident, he'll get chronic headaches everytime and he was experiencing so much pain to the point na natakot ang mga Limjuacos baka magkaron siya ng Aneurysm because of the impact sa head niya. He only remembers fragments of his memories. Ang alam ko yung amnesia niya ay rare eh. Naalala lang niya ang mga nakaraan niya... and if... hindi ka niya nakita that time he's healing... I'm sure he forgot all the memories of you together, Ria.." Vee explained.
