Tumakbo ako papasok sa comfort room at sinarado ito. My heart is beating right out of my chest sa sobrang kaba. That was close! Hinabol ko ang hininga habang nakasandal sa loob.

What the hell am I doing?!

Lumabas ako ng cubicle at saka nag-ayos ng sarili. I look so stressed na parang hinabol ng aso or something. I opened the faucet and let the cold water touch my skin para magising ako ng onti.

Being that close to Max really shocked me dahil hindi na ako sanay. Plus, he's not the guy I used to know. Ibang iba na ang ugali pati na rin ang pag-trato niya saakin.

I should find another job ngayon because I'm sure as hell the new and stern President Maxon Limjuaco will tell Ms. Jessica to fire me.

I got out of the comfort room at pumunta agad sa place kung saan nag-aantay ang media. Inabot ko sakanila ang papel at medyo nag-taka sila sa pagka-lukot nito. Medyo nag-panic kasi ako when Max pinned me against the wall kanina at nadiinan ko ang hawak dito kaya nalukot.

"I-I'm sorry. Don't worry, I wrote everything here in this notebook.." sabi ko at ngumiti sakanila.

Kinuha nila iyon at saka ako kinamayan.

"Thank you for this, Ms. Adelson!" Sabi nila. I bowed my head at inantay sila maka-alis. I can't believe they went here and waited for an hour just for those 5 questions.

Napaka-secretive naman ni Max-- Mr. Limjuaco, rather to only entertain 5 questions. Bakit kaya?

Nang maka-alis silang lahat, I turned around para bumalik sa desk ko. Mag-hahanap na ako ng new jobs around here. Sana may hiring sila or else babalik nalang ako ng NYC!

But I can't do that. Umirap ako sa hangin in frustration.

"Ms. Adelson!" Napatalikod ako when Ms. Jessica called me. Okay... here it goes.. I'm now going to accept my fate.

"Y-yes Ma'am?" Kahit naman alam ko na ang sasabihin niya.

"What happened?" She asked, medyo nagtataka. She's probably wondering why the CEO fired me after an hour.

"Sorry po, I didn't mean---"

Gusto ko sana iexplain ang side ko on why I answered back kay Mr. Limjuaco but then she cut me off.

"Are you okay? Mr. Limjuaco called me and said ibigay daw ito sayo.." sabi niya at inabot niya sakin ang isang maliit na paper bag that says Mercury Drug.

"H-huh?"

Nag-tataka kong binuksan yung maliit na brown paper bag at nakitang may gamot ito sa loob. Medyo madami kaya ako nag-taka.

"Mr. Limjuaco told me to buy medicines for you dahil masakit daw ang tiyan mo. He asked you bakit but you didn't answer him daw so he made me buy one for stomachache, one for indigestion and one for dysmenorrhea.." she said na ikinagulat ko.

So.. I'm not fired?

And the masungit Mr. CEO bought me medicines? Why would he do that?

Then I remembered, Max is a caring person. Buti naman at hindi nag-bago yun sakanya. Gusto ko sana matuwa at the thought of him caring for me pero tinigil ko agad iyon. Focus, Euphoria! Hindi ka niya kilala!

"I-I'm not fired?" I asked again, to confirm. Ms. Jessica gave me a confused look.

"Why would he fire you? Silly! Come here at may kailangan pa akong sabihin sayo," she said at hinatak niya ako sa desk ko.
