I froze in my place. I just looked at her without knowing what to say. Her eyes were full of resentment and disgust as she looked at me and you could see it right away.

Lumakad siya papunta sa harap ko. Her heels clicked on the tile flooring as she walked. She changed a lot, and she doesn't have that gentle aura in her anymore. Her facial features matured as well and her hair was tied up in a high ponytail.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

Her tone was sharp in anger. Kulang nalang ay sigawan niya ako at paalisin dito sa office.

"I-- I work here," I replied.

I'm stuttering not because I'm scared of her. I'm stuttering because she knows what happened in the past.. the one I've been running away from.. and yet she's here right in front of me.

Looking at her reminded me of the days I barely thought I'd survive.

"You work here? To what? To seduce Maxon and make him fall in love with you again?" She asked, angrily.

I didn't say anything. Her eyes were burning with anger to the point that it's scaring me because I know what she can do. She can destroy me.. and my relationship with Max.

"And what did you call him? You called him by his first name?" She laughed, mockingly. "So you're indicating that you're close with him again?"

Umiling ako. "No--"

She suddenly walked towards my table and slammed it with her bare hands, creating a loud sound. All my folders fell of the table but I did not flinch.

"Who the hell calls her boss by his first name?!" She asked, her voice getting louder this time. "You should know your place!"

I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself. Don't stoop down to her level, Ria. She has the right to be mad and try to understand where she's coming from.

Hindi ako nag-salita and just looked at her. It's obvious that she's shaking because she's in so much anger.

"I don't have to explain anything. I don't owe you an explanation, so if you'll excuse me.." I told her and picked up my bag.

I was about to walk away from her ng bigla siyang mag-salita.

"You never learn, Ria. You're still the selfish, immature little girl I knew. Nothing changed and you still don't deserve him."

Humarap ako sakanya and lost it.

"What's your problem? Why do you keep on meddling with our relationship? Stop pushing yourself in the picture, Chantelle! Wake up and realize that he won't ever see you!" I snapped.

She was taken aback because of what I've said. Hindi siya nakapag-salita but she just looked at me.

"Wow. Says the girl who brought nothing but trouble in our lives," she laughed sarcastically.

Lumapit siya sakin and folded her arms. Hindi ako umatras and waited for her to stand in front of me.

"Yes. You're right, he doesn't see me. But I'm not doing this for myself.. I'm doing this for him!" She said.

"I can make things right! Everything will fall back in to their place again--" I tried to explain my side to her.

She's a woman.. she would understand.
