falling in love

Nagising ako inside a parked car. Agad akong napabangon at tumingin sa paligid. Where am I? I'm inside pero the driver's seat is emtpy, ako lang mag-isa.

The scent... it's familiar. This is Max's car and I'm not dreaming! Nasa harap kami ng Starbucks ngayon and I think he went down to buy something.

I checked the time and it was already 12:30 in the morning and I don't where I am. Medyo hilo pa ako but not as drunk katulad kanina. Humupa na ang kalasingan ko but I'm still tipsy. I think I blacked out.

My cheeks felt hot while remembering what happened kanina. I didn't say a lot which is a good thing but I also didn't answer some of his questions! Blame it on the alcohol!

I saw Max walking papunta dito with a drink on his hands. He looks so handsome that sometimes I think it's illegal already. Inayos niya ang buhok niya habang nag-lalakad.

Wait, he's coming back! Should I pretend that I'm still sleeping? Agad akong kinabahan kaya hindi na ako nakapag-isip. He opened the door of the car at saka pumasok.

"You're awake," he said as he sat on the driver's seat. Inabot niya sakin ang dalang inumin. "Here, drink this.."

Kinuha ko naman iyon. "T-thank you.."

He started the engine pero hindi umalis. I didn't look at him so I just stared out the window. I took a sip of the hot chocolate drink and it made me so much better.

"Why were you with my brother?" He asked, breaking the silence.

I'm scared to look at him dahil baka nakatingin din siya sakin and an eye contact with him is too much for me. Hindi ko mapipigilan ang naghuhuramentado kong puso.

"I-I'm not. I'm with my friend but nawala siya. Your brother found me," I replied.

Tumango lang siya at hindi nag-salita. He started the engine and we drove away.

The space between us was filled with awkward silence. My heart was beating like crazy at sana hindi niya naririnig iyon. Did I hear him correctly kanina? He said he hated it when he saw me with Yuan. But.. but why?

Why does he hate seeing me with Yuan? Is it the memories that are coming back? Naalala na ba niya ako?

"Why were you there.... in the office last night?" Bigla siyang nag-salita, breaking the silence and my thoughts.

Napakagat ako sa lid ng cup. He asked me a a simple question and I couldn't answer!

"Nakalimutan ko kasi yung phone ko," I said. "Tapos nakita ko si Marco in the elevator. I asked him if may tao sa taas, sabi niya wala."

Tumingin na ako sa gawi niya and his eyes were focused on the road. His side profile is still to die for.. his jaw was undeniably defined and his adam's apple is still carved in to perfection. Nothing changed at all.. except now that he's so much more attractive.

Kaya pala marami siyang babae.

"That asshole," Max cursed.

Kumaliwa kami and now I can see the apartment. I wonder why he looks so serious right now. Is he regretting all the things he told me earlier? And wait... why am I making it a big deal eh wala naman dapat yon. That should came out of my ear the moment it went inside the other.

"S-sorry. Hindi ko kasi alam na nandon ka kasama ang girlfriend mo. I- I didn't look at what you guys are doing. Nag madali ako palabas--" I was about to explain but he cut me off.
