CHAPTER 4

Good guy

Kinaumagahan, I woke up earlier than the usual pero wala na si Red. I haven't talked to Mom and Dad pa pero for sure they're busy kaya hindi ko na muna sila guguluhin. Besides, I feel like may pinapa-ayos sila kay Red kaya busy ito.

I suddenly remembered Max's unusual behavior yesterday. I pushed away the thought at nag-simula ng mag ayos ng sarili.

Max is a good guy. Sobra, a lot of girls liked his gentlemanliness. Sa barkada nila ay siya lang ang ganon at siya lang yung tahimik. He's intimidating, if hindi mo siya kilala. Siya kasi yung typical na masungit na guy pero gentleman and shy type.

"What happened sayo kahapon, you didn't answer our calls! We wanna hang pa naman sana sainyo," maktol ni Cassie pag-dating ko sa university.

Mag-kakasama kaming tatlo ngayon kasi 2 hours breaktime namin. I have classes hanggang 7pm ngayon and sila maaga ang uwian. Our schedule is so unfair!

"I was with Max lang the whole day," sagot ko sakanila. I was scrolling my phone again and surfing my social medias. I looked at Max's instagram and saw na dalawa lang ang solo photos niya dun.. at yung iba ay ako na. Minsan stolen, madalas naka-talikod. All of our adventures ay andon. Sa Tagaytay, Baguio, Cebu at sa iba pa. Meron din naman silang pictures nila Red.

"Really? You and Max are so bagay!" Asar ni Cass. Pinandiltan ko naman siya at hindi pinansin.

"Yeah, true! If it's not for their tight friendship aakalain ko na talaga na there's something going on between them, eh." Sabi naman ni Vee. "Even Brian agrees."

Tumahimik ako, at naalala ko kahapon kung pano ako tratuhin ni Max. He was too sweet!

"Hindi ah, stop it. Besides, I treat him like a brother and ganon din siya saakin. Basta, genuine siya as a person. A very fragile yet sweet one."

"Yeah, sabagay! Plus, super good guy niya. Even his aura radiates gentlemanliness! E diba, hindi mo yun type?" Natatawang sabi ni Jane.

"Hell yeah! Euphoria wants guys who will dominate on her! Yung talagang mapapasunod siya kasi matigas ulo niya." Sabi ni Cassie.

Binato ko siya ng kinakain kong chips at tumawa. "Not all the time!" Sabi ko.

"Pero guys, no shit! When Max got angry sa club nagulat talaga ako. I mean, a good guy na meron ding bad side? Total dibs! If wala lang akong boyfriend eh," biro ni Cassie.

Napangiti naman si Jane. "Yeah, he looks hot that time. Kahit ako natigil sa pag-iyak kasi it's my first time seeing him that. Nagalit siya dahil binastos si Ria!"

"Yeah, kahit ako natakot." I admitted. I looked down to see if he messaged me, pero hanggang ngayon ay wala pa rin. I wonder if he's busy with work.

"Even his friends, nagulat that night. Max was the calm daw in the group. If may nakaalitan sila, usually Max settles it with a small talk if hindi ganon kalala. Pero nagulat daw talaga sila nung nakita nilang umusok si Max." Sabi ni Vee. Maybe Brian told her that.

"Why would he do that? I mean, bakit mawawala siya sa sarili because of Ria?" Pahabol ni Vee. Agad naman ako nanahimik. I don't know why but I don't like talking about my relationship with Max. Because I know we're bestfriends and I want to leave it at that.
