CHAPTER 52
Good night

"Where are we going?" Tanong ko ng mapansin na hindi kami dumaan pabalik sa BGC.

Seeing him driving beside me, knowing that we're back to normal at nasabi na rin namin sa isa't isa ang lahat ng gusto namin sabihin felt surreal. I'm genuinely happy that we're back.. hindi sa dati but at least, knowing that he remembers me fully is a good start.

I'm not rushing anything because I know everything takes time. We are still building up the pieces that were broken.

Making ourselves better for each other is an endless process. As long as we're together, we both have to keep on improving ourselves for the betterment of our relationship.

We both made mistakes and now we're making up for them.. together.

Basa ang buong katawan namin dahil nagpa-ulan kami that's why he didn't open the aircon of his car. Basang basa ako pati na rin ang mga gamit ko. Including my phone, wallet and bills.

"My house in Nuvali," sabi niya.

"Huh? Why?"

He looked at me for a short while because he was busy driving. Gabi na rin kasi and it's almost 12 midnight kaya madilim na ang paligid. Wala rin masyadong establishments since we're almost in the provincial side on the outskirts of the city.

"We're soaked. Kailangan na natin magpatuyo or else we'll get sick tomorrow. Nuvali is just 10 minutes away from where we are right now," he told me.

I nodded. Nakalimutan kong may bahay nga pala siya doon. I wonder why he bought one?

"Kailan ka pa bumili ng house doon?" I asked him.

"It's actually one of the first few things I bought when I started taking over the company," he said. "Wala lang. I just wanted to be ready for my future with you."

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay while trying to hide my smile. This guy and his cheesy lines!

"Future with me talaga? How sure are you?" I asked, teasingly.

He stopped because of the red traffic light. Kaya naman he got the chance to stare at me and he smiled back. "Because I always pray for you to end up with me. Every night yun. Even at those times I'm mad at you."

My heart fluttered at that. Hay, this guy. He never fails to make me fall deeper in love with him by the simple things he do. I bit my lower lip and smiled like an idiot.

He held my hand while the other was on the steering wheel. He intertwined our fingers together and I've never felt such happiness inside my heart. All those times I've cried because of him-- simple gestures like this makes up for it.

Parang nakalimutan ko na lahat. All the painful memories were long gone and what's important now is him holding my hand.

"Is it okay for me to hold your hand?" He suddenly asked.

I looked at him, confused on his question. "Yeah. Bakit naman hindi?"

"Because I'm not your boyfriend yet," he innocently said. His chinky eyes looked sad and he pouted a bit.

I chuckled because of his cuteness. I turned to face him. His side profile will surely take your breath away. With his pointy nose, well-defined jawline and also his adam's apple that is carved to perfection.
