"I'm leaving tomorrow," was the first thing Red told me ng maka-uwi ako sa bahay. He wasn't mad because I didn't come home and maybe it's because he knows na matanda na ako and I can take care of myself already.

"Huh? Saan ka punta?" I asked.

Hinatid ako ni Max after namin mag dinner. He cooked for me pagkagising ko because natulugan ko siya throughout the movie. Kasama ko siya ngayon sa apartment together with Red.

Max sat on the sofa while Red was busy writing something on a sheet of paper sa may counter. I looked at him and he winked at me habang naka-sandal siya sa upuan.

"Saglit lang yun, I'm just going to finalize the papers of our flight," sagot ni Red without looking up.

Lumayo ako kay Max because he might cuddle me out of nowhere. Hindi pa pwede malaman ni Red ang tungkol samin ngayon because I'm planning to have a double date with him and Cassie tomorrow. Saka ko palang sasabihin lahat sakanya ang tungkol samin ni Max.

"Our flight?" Tanong ko ulit. "Sino kasama mo?"

He finished writing at saka tumingin sakin. "I'm planning to take Cassie sa Maldives."

My eyes beamed at him. Look at him go! Agad akong lumapit sakanya at tumalon talon na parang bata. That's so sweet!

"Really?!" I squealed. My heart fluttered at the thought of them being there together.

Tumawa siya at saka umupo sa tabi ni Max. Max patted his shoulder at ngumiti.

"Yup," he said. "She's an island girl. She likes exploring and stuff, she likes the ocean and everything related to the beach. So I guess, there's nothing wrong with taking my girl back to her home."

My smile was so wide I thought my face expanded. I couldn't even explain what I'm feeling right now. I'm just super happy for them.

"Congratulations, man. All the hard work was worth it," Max told him at nginitian niya ito.

Tumawa si Red. "Thanks, Max. Anyways, bakit kayo magkasama? Are you two close again?"

Nanlaki ang mata ko. I didn't want to look to obvious so nag-iwas ako ng tingin kay Max.

"Yeah--" Max was about to say something but I cut him off.

"Actually nagpahatid lang ako. He told me he wants to visit you and see how you're doing!" I immediately said.

Red looked at me weirdly at binalik ang tingin kay Max. Suddenly, he burst out laughing.

"See how I'm doing? Ang clingy mo naman! We just saw each other the other day, chinito."

I bit my lower lip. Oops. Maxon looked at me at tinaasan ako ng kilay. What? I didn't know!

"Actually, I just went here to make sure she's safe. We had a business trip near Nuvali," Max told Red.

"Ah! That's why hindi ka umuwi last night?" Red asked me.

I nodded fast. Sumandal si Maxon sa sofa at saka tumingin sakin but I didn't meet his gaze. I figured it's best if hayaan ko nalang si Max ang kumausap kay Red.

"Okay then," sabi ni Red and then he turned to Max. "Uwi kanaba?"

"Hmm, I could stay for a couple of minutes I guess," Max replied. "Why?"
