Doubts

"W-What are you saying? I have no time to joke around Mr. Limjuaco," I stuttered. I couldn't look at him in the eye because I'm afraid he can see right through me.

He looked at me thoroughly and it made my heart skip a beat. I looked away to calm my heart that was beating fast but it was no use. He knows his effect on me.

"Did I stutter?" He asked.

Hinawakan niya ang siko ko at saka ako inilapit sakanya ulit. I avoided his gaze but hinawakan niya ang mukha ko at wala nakong ibang nagawa kung hindi sumunod. My body follows his touch like a slave to its master.

"I know you feel it too," he said as his red lips formed in to a smile. "Do you like me?"

Nakatingin na ako sa mata niya and I swear it feels like drowning.. but it's a good kind of pain. His eyes were so dark and mysterious.. full of secrets that you would never know. I shivered at his touch. My gaze went down to his lips and seeing how red it was made me bite my lower lip to stop myself from kissing him again.

"I—I don't k-know.." my lips trembled. Hindi nga ba, Ria?

Tumingin siya sa mga labi ko. He saw how they trembled kaya ngumiti siya. What's the point of asking me a question you already know the answer to?

"Just tell me that our feelings are mutual and I'll kiss you again right here, right now baby," he told me. His voice was so husky and warm that it can send shivers down your spine.

He looked at me intently, his eyes were waiting for an answer. I took a deep breath habang nakatingin sakanya. This is all I wanted.. ito na ang gusto ko mangyari and now it's finally happening. But why do I still feel like there's something wrong?

I'm scared. I'm scared because may hindi pa siya alam. I thought making him fall in love again is the answer but hindi.

"I like you but—"

I did not get to finish my sentence again because he leaned down to kiss me but this time, it was much more than a quick kiss. He gave me a long passionate one that made me forget all doubts and fears I'm feeling right now. I'm filled with uncertainty.. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing by hiding everything from him.

But now that his lips were on mine, I seem to forget about everything. The people, the problems, the past.. everything. In this world uncertain, he's the only thing I'm sure of.

He pulled away, leaving me intoxicated. I looked at him with drunk eyes. Ngumiti siya saakin when he saw his effect on me.

"No buts. You like me and let's leave it at that. I will pursue you and make you mine, Euphoria."

"But—"

He placed his index finger on my lips to hush me. I have a lot of things to say but his kiss left me intoxicated and wanting for more.. kaya nakatingin nalang ako sakanya.

"As much as I want to shut you up by kissing you again, I have to stop myself already. Iuuwi na kita," he told me.

He intertwined our fingers and led me papunta sa parking lot. Hindi na kami pumasok pa sa hotel at dumeretcho na sa sasakyan niya. Tulala ako habang nag-lalakad kami, unable to grasp what was happening. Everything happened too fast and it feels like a dream.

But seeing his tall, muscular back while he's holding my hand made me realize I'm not dreaming anymore.
