Kiss

The sun was slowly setting and I opened my eyes right after making a wish. I looked at Max and he was busy admiring the view and that gave me an idea.

I bit my lower lip to stop myself from giggling. Right after the water reached the shore malapit kung nasaan kami naka-upo, I scooped some with my hands and quickly threw it in his direction.

Agad siyang napabalikwas at tinignan ako ng masama. I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction kaya winisikan ko ulit siya with the remaining water in my hands.

"Stop it!" He hissed. And I laughed.

Tumayo siya and immediately ran after me kaya tumakbo kaagad ako palayo sakanya. I don't care if he'll get mad at me for being this playful with him. I just want us to be close again.. I just want him to remember.

"Ahh!" I shrieked when he got me. He held my pulse at saka hinatak ako sa tubig.

He laughed as he got his revenge. Hinawakan niya akong mabuti habang patuloy na binabasa ng tubig with his free hand.

We were both laughing while throwing water at each other. Hindi siya nagalit and seeing him laugh and smile with me gives me a little spark of hope that maybe somehow.. somewhere deep down inside his heart.. he could feel it too.

"Tama na. Baka magka-sakit kapa," he said as he let go of my hand.

I stayed still from where I stand at saka tumingin sa paligid na unti-unting dumidilim.

"Did you wish for something?" Tanong ko.

It's as if everything fell in to their right place again. Parang wala ng problema and we're all back to normal.

Tumingin ako sakanya and realized that he was staring at me. Tumango siya at saka inayos ang buhok niya.

"Yeah."

He started walking pabalik sa shore habang pinapagpag ang damit niya.

I smiled as I followed behind him habang nag-lalakad pabalik sa sasakyan.

"Oh, anong nangyari?" Mayor Salvatorre asked ng makita niya kaming basang-basa.

Tumawa si Zion at saka umupo sa driver's sear. "Mukhang nag-tampisaw sila, Pa."

We told them that we played around for a while sa tubig. Lian gave us some towels while winking at me. Ngumiti naman ako sakanya.

I was so tired from the trip, the tour and also the ride that hindi ko namalayang na-idlip na pala ako on the way home.

"Ria.. wake up," Max told me while tapping my face. "Andito na tayo.."

I opened my eyes and moved. Naka-sandal ako sa shoulders ni Max! I quickly moved my head away.

Kinusot ko ang mata ko atsaka tumingin sa paligid. We're back in the mansion and it's already dark outside.

We all got down and I feel sick dahil sa pagod. Pumasok kami sa mansion and our dinner is ready kaagad dahil nakahain na ang mga pag-kain sa table. Zion and Lian went out to look for Kari in the stable.

"Tara na at mag-dinner," Mayor Salvatorre said as he sat down in the middle. "Let's have a drink after this, okay Mr. Limjuaco?"

Max smiled at saka tumango. "Of course, Mayor."

We ate dinner but Kari wasn't there. Wala daw kasi ito sa stable and it looks like dala ulit niya si Bucky, his own horse. Mayor told us that Kari likes to explore Soleado with his horse at night.
