"Cry all you want, I'll be here, I won't leave you." Woojin tightened his hug around Minji's body that was now shaking with tears. A visible frown formed upon his pink lips, he could feel the sadness flowing out of her, the way she held on to his blazer ever so tightly like her life depended on it, it made Woojin want to cry with her as well.
He didn't like seeing her nor anyone close to his heart cry, it pained him, they never deserved any of the sadness they're feeling right now because all they've done is good to this cruel world.
Tears couldn't stop flowing out of Minji's swollen eyes, this was way worse than finding out that Daniel never had feelings for her, it hurt much more like a shard of glass slowly tearing your heart apart.
"How can he do such things to you, he liked you so much but what's gotten to him?" Woojin spoke to himself, just enough for Minji to hear.
He felt guilty. Woojin perfectly knew why Jihoon did that, he knows every single detail about the deal with Jihoon and Rae. He felt guilty for acting so clueless when it came to Minji, though the affection he showed towards her were all real.
Woojin couldn't afford acting just to comfort her, she was still a friend so there was no apparent reason on why he wouldn't show his real feelings.
But after all, Jihoon is also a friend, it's just a matter of a friend helping a friend. Nothing less, nothing more.
Minji finally kept herself together, hastily breathing in sharp breaths. She pulled apart from Woojin's hug, causing the boy to automatically cup her face and wipe the fallen tears with his thumb.
He didn't only do this because Jihoon told him to, he did this because he felt sorry for Minji about everything, everything including him keeping a secret from her.
"People change, Woojin. I guess Jihoon is different now." She spoke, her voice cracking in between. Woojin sighed, "Will you be okay?"
Minji dryly chuckled, looking up at him, "Are all boys like this? Not knowing whether a girl is hurt when they just cried their heart out? How can all of you be so clueless, including him? He didn't even think about how I felt-" "I'm sorry, I should have chosen my words correctly" Woojin cut her off.
Just then, she realised, "No, I should be. I'm sorry for lashing out, it's just that everything is too much to handle now. Sorry." "That's okay, you don't need to be sorry." I should be the one saying sorry. Woojin shook his head, giving a faint smile.
The two quietly walked down the ghostly street, it was cold, uninviting and extremely quiet, it reminded Minji of Jihoon.
The thought of Jihoon made her burst in to tears again, causing Woojin to hastily turn his head and pull her in again, hugging her side. Please don't cry, it pains me seeing you like this.
She couldn't control her overflowing feelings, not when she just got her heart broken, not when she just lost the love of her life. The person who used to care for her so much, the person who was always there, the person who she deeply loved.
"Am I a fool? A fool for letting myself get played again?" Minji let out a shaky sigh, "No, you're not a fool and you will never be. All you did was love someone and that's not a crime either, it's his loss." Woojin felt like he was betraying Jihoon as well as Minji.
When he's around Minji, he blames Jihoon yet when he's around Jihoon, he's betraying Minji by keeping a secret from her. He was caught in between the two and it was the worst place to ever be in.
"I'll always be here for you, I'd never hurt you." He cooed, "Last time I heard that was a lie." She scoffed, wiping her tears.
Jihoon has turned Minji in to a person full of so much hatred, it was indeed interesting what love could do to a person. "I promise." Woojin could feel his conscience eating him alive, he knew he would hurt her in the end when she finds out about the bitter truth, the fact that he promised made it even worse.
But he will be always there for her, Minji needed some comfort and affection now and he was there for her, not because Jihoon told him to do so but he was there for her and only her.
The two finally reached the front of Minji's house, they both faced eachother, fresh set of hot tears still rolling down Minji's cheeks. "Call me whenever you need me, aight? I'll be there in no time." He smiled, leaning down to place a gentle peck on Minji's forehead.

Minji sluggishly made her way to her locker, feeling like a piece of trash, unwanted. She's already updated her friends with her current status with Jihoon through text last night but she couldn't be bothered to open their replies except for Daehwi who became even more stubborn.
She just wants to be alone for today, none of her loudspeaker friends around her, no Jihoon, just alone time for herself with full silence.
As Jihoon walked past the gates, his phone vibrated.
Yoon Rae: i won't be at school today, i think i ate contaminated food. dont miss me too much 😜

He rolled his eyes, what was he supposed to do? It wasn't like he ever cared for her well-being, infact he was happy that she isn't going to be around. That meant he could show his true self.
He couldn't keep his cold image any longer, not when he just had his first heartbreak. He cried his eyes out, locking himself inside his room and skipping dinner and breakfast. Jihoon wanted Minji back so much that only she could make him eat his meals.
Once again, his legs somewhat taking him somewhere, his mind was switched off and his heart was taking over. That means he's got no control over this.
The heart wants what it wants.
Even from a distance, he could still see the familiar figure he loves backhugging. Jihoon found himself walking towards her way with a pounding heart.
There's no turning back now, it's now or never.

ive been getting headaches for 3 continuous days smh its so annoying.
anyway im getting so fed up w studying, im supposed to study for my exam tmrw but eh it resulted to me doing this instead so heres another chapter lmao. p.s im still crying over how emotional wanna ones song is aH.
