The smile you left behind
Still remains in my heart."Damn, is she here to make you jealous or what? Cause I think it's working." Hyungseob whispered whilst passing the order to him. "I don't care anymore." He sighed.
But he did. Jihoon cared about every single thing she did, he was curious what ran inside her mind. He was curious about every single thing she's planning to do and this was one of them. He tried very hard not giving a damn about Minji anymore but it just wouldn't work.
Instead of his curiosity decreasing, it increases and so does his feelings for her.
It's been so strong lately that he just wanted her all for himself, it was just him getting too attached. Then reality hits him, 'She probably doesn't even miss me since she has Woojin.' those kinds of thoughts swim in his mind as reality slaps him right across his handsome face.
Love is indeed bittersweet but Jihoon wouldn't say he regret truly loving the person he loves because the affection, compassion and kindness he gave where all true, it was all from his heart and mind. He knew Minji doubted those as he made her believe that he only played with her feelings.
But he didn't.
Jihoon only did that for the sake of their relationship, to make her hate him so it'd be easier for Jihoon to break up with Minji and move on from it.
It was harder than he thought when Minji was the one who broke off their relationship, he didn't see that coming as she fought for their love til the end but he guessed she had enough. She was tired of having to hope that he would come back to her when he never did.
Jihoon wanted to and he surely is going to. He just needs time to gain more courage to face her again because after all, he is an introvert. Jihoon doesn't know how to express his sympathy after what he's done to Minji. He didn't know how he expressed his feelings to the max when they were together but it felt incredible.
Maybe it was because of the love buzz or maybe it was him finally learning how to express more of these hidden feelings.
"Whatever." Hyungseob snorted before returning behind he counter, waiting for new customers to order.
"Why here?" Woojin whispered, slightly leaning in over the table. Minji gave him a confused face, "Why not? Their baristas are great." She shrugged. Woojin looked at the counter, seeing Jihoon's back facing them while he made coffee.
Woojin didn't know whether she means that in general or just because her ex-boyfriend was making their drinks. He was honestly worried for her because the other day she was ranting about how stupid Jihoon was and now she's completely different.
