Daniel?

"Daniel . . it's you?" Minji hesitantly asked, the boy scratched the back of his head. "Uh . . sure? I just wanted to ask where Jihoon is, I've been trying to find him. I thought he was arguing with you." Daniel tilted his head, lightly chuckling.

She blinked a couple of times, "Oh . . I-i don't know where he is. Sorry." Minji stuttered, gripping on to her skirt.

"Oh, alright. I'll see you around." Daniel nodded before walking away.

If it's not Daniel, then who is it? She thought.

Minji continued her way to the garden, she was greeted by a familiar figure. Dark brown hair, broad shoulders and an intimidating stance. She tilted her head not sure if this was the person she's been looking for.

Minji pulled on to her hair as she tried memorizing her History notes. Her mind was too distracted by what happened at school earlier. She couldn't belive it was him that's been giving her presents and letters, she didn't know what to feel.

The fact that she didn't even know it was him some what made her feel dumb.

~ Flashback ~

The girl was about to tap his back until he turned around, revealing his soft angelic features. The face that never failed to melt her heart.

Park Jihoon.

Minji stepped back a few times, trying to process it all in her mind. So he's the one behind all the gifts and letters, why? Minji thought.

"Why did you do it?" She asked, crossed her arms over her chest. "I figured it was the best way to get my feelings across, I know coming up to you face to face would only lead to agruing." Jihoon spoke, his calm angelic voice a great contrast to Minji's fierce raging one.

"And you're doing this because? . ." She raised a brow at him, her stare suddenly making him feel cold.

"To prove myself to you, Minji. I want you to trust me again, I know I messed up but I can prove to you that I'm worth you lo-"

Minji cut him off with a sarcastic chuckle, "Tell me Jihoon, are you really doing it so you could earn my trust or make me fall for you? Because these letters are nothing but sweet empty words. These things you're doing right now . . you're not proving anything, bub. From what I can see, you're trying to persuade me to trust you with your presents and letters."

Jihoon lowered his head, sighing. "I don't know how to prove myself."

"And that's not any of my problem. You're at fault so you figure that out yourself." She scoffed, walking away. Minji was about to take another step until Jihoon grabbed her hand, causing her to harshly spin around, facing him.

"Why are you so cold to me?" He asked, his eyes becoming glossy. Minji sarcastically smiled, "I never knew how oblivious you were, Jihoon. Have you forgotten what you've done?"

"Can't you just give me another chance- or . . or anything! I miss you, Minji." Jihoon choked out, tears threatening to fall from his sparkly eyes.

"Second chances are something you need to work hard for. Just like proving yourself. Also, please leave me alone for now, I have to focus on my studies." She answered before walking away.

Jihoon eyed her figure as tears rolled down his cheeks.

He looked up at the vibrant blue sky that seemed to calm him down, Jihoon blinked his tears away. "I'm such a fool."

Minji did what she had to do. She had to get away from Jihoon because if her father finds out that she's with him while exam weeks then it's the end for them.

She didn't want anyone else involved in her own mess, that would be much more of a burden than being a disappointment for your parents. It would make her feel worse.

The girl just wished that he would stray away from her right now. Not that he was a distraction -he kind of was- but she was just looking out for both of them, after all, that ten percent in her still deeply cares for the man she loves.

It was weird because that ten percent seemed to dominate the remaining ninety percent of her, the love is dominating her anger more and more.

She didn't want to be in love. Not at the moment, not when she's trying to focus on the exams, not when her father is doubting her about getting back with Jihoon.

"So? How did the meet up go earlier?" Woojin asked, leaning far back in to the wooden cafe chair. Jihoon shrugged, staring at the circular table between them, Daniel furrowed his brows, "Wait, the meet up was today? No wonder I couldn't find you at lunch! I even had to ask Minji where you went." He lightly chuckled but soon stopped as Daehwi and Woojin gave him a look.

Daniel grinned tightly, his cheeks slightly jutting out.

"Did she say anything? . ." Daehwi carefully asked, examining the boy's sulked face. "Yeah, I mean, shouldn't she at least notice your brown hair?" Woojin joked. It was now his turn to earn a look from Daehwi and Daniel.

"She said things to me . . hurtful, like usual." Jihoon shrugged.

Daehwi stared at his friend with pity. "Of course. Minji is an angel when you do good to her but once you get to her bad side, she's the complete opposite." He sighed.

"Maybe she just didn't see any sincerity in your letters and gifts." Daniel shrugged. "I mean, for me, it felt like you were courting her. No offense dude, just my opinion." He added.

Woojin agreed, "Drop those romantic things and get real with it. Go to her face to face, help her with the things she needs, walk her home, stay by her side. Maybe doing the things that contain you in the picture would work, maybe that's where she would see your sincerity."

"But she told me to stay away from her." Jihoon muttered while running his fingers through his chocolate brown hair. "I wonder why . ." Daehwi asked himself, trying to think of reasons why Minji said that.

"Maybe things are happening at home? You know, people need space whenever stuff becomes too much." Daniel added.

Her father. Daehwi thought.
