I'm sorry Minji, I tried straying you away from that crowd that's why I grabbed your hand as you were walking towards it. I tried to stop you but every time I hear the sound of your voice, it melts my heart. Woojin thought as he stared at Minji's captivating almond shaped eyes.
"I lik-" "What a mood ruiner!" Daehwi exclaimed beside them cutting off Woojin's almost confession, he got too caught up in her gaze that it almost made him spill his feelings towards her.
It was like her eyes are the key to telling the truth.
Woojin wanted to give Daehwi a bear hug for cutting his sentence off, if it wasn't for Daehwi, they'd be left in an awkward situation.
"Okay, shows over people! Nothing to see here." Daehwi groaned, walking back inside the building to finish his meal that he cherished so much. "Can't believe I left my food for that . . crap." He muttered to himself.
The students dispersed in no time but Minji and Woojin stayed rooted on the ground, Jinyoung and Nari got lost in the crowd too causing them to split up, finding their own ways back to the Cafeteria.
"Hey, let's go?" Woojin asked, his deep voice bringing her back to reality. Minji shook her head a little, adjusting to the setting. "Sure." She nodded.
Before they could even take a step forward, someone had grabbed her other hand causing her to look back. "Daniel . . ?" Minji asked, confused at his unpredictable actions.
Woojin clenched his jaw at the mention of Daniel's name. He wasn't mad at him, he kind of just wanted Minji all to himself.
"Can . . I borrow her for a couple of minutes?" Daniel looked at Woojin with desperate pleading eyes, the boy nodded, letting go of Minji's hand while sighing. "I'll see you around, Minji." Woojin walked off, stealing one last glance at the two before walking inside the building.
Jihoon could see those happening from the corner of his eyes, although he befriended Daniel again, he still kind of hated him for what he did to Minji.
But most of all, Jihoon was jealous of Daniel and especially Woojin. Woojin promised to take care of her so of course it'd result to the two having a lot of alone time together in which Jihoon was a bit hesitant about, he was afraid that Minji might fall for Woojin.
The boy took one last glance before getting dragged off by Rae.
Now it was just Daniel and Minji left on the middle of the field, it gave her the vibes when they were still together that time, it made her uncomfortable for some reason. "What did you want to talk about?" Minji asked, shifting her weight on one foot and crossing her arms over her chest.
"I want to talk about us." He cleared his throat, nervous as ever.
"Theres nothing to talk abo-" "Listen, I'm not here to try and win you back because I've let go of you a long time ago. Yes, it was painful but I figured you belonged to Jihoon-"
Minji raised a brow at him. "Ahem, I mean- forget about that last sentence. I'm here to befriend you, I want us to be normal again, those little awkward silences we have after talking, I miss those, Minji." He sighed, staring at her.
The girl looked up at him, she smiled, "Hi, my name is Kim Minji, what's yours?" She stuck her hand out, Daniel quickly caught on to what she was trying to do.
"I'm Kang Daniel! Nice to meet you." He shook her hand, his deep giggles slipping past his lips. They both remembered their first ever encounter when they were still kids back then, it was awkward yet memorable.
"Just like old times." Daniel chuckled. "Just like old times." She repeated, smiling once again.

Minji hastily took her books out of her locker, the bell for her afternoon classes had already rung and she didn't want to be late. The girl slammed her locker shut, jogging along the hallway with textbooks in her hands.
The girl took a quick glance at her watch, "5 minutes la-"
Someone had bumped in to her causing her books to scatter all over the floor, she sighed quickly picking up her books. The person who collided with her remained standing in front of her, not even apologizing.
Minji quickly gathered all her books before looking up at the person. "Watch where you go next time." Jihoon muttered, looking down at her.
Before she could even say anything, he already walked past her. Minji stood up, "It wasn't even my fault!" She scoffed taking one last glance at the boy's back. She quickly jogged to her class praying that her Maths teacher won't growl her off for being late but she doubt that.
What did you expect from him? Of course he's still cold towards you, he doesn't care! Thought swam around her mind. Minji was annoyed that he had the audacity to tell her to watch where she goes when it's obviously his fault. He didn't even bend down to give a hand.
She shook her head, "Why am I like this? Why do I keep expecting things from him that won't even come true?" She asked herself.
It's because you still love him. Minji thought.
"Of course I do . ." She sighed before entering her class.
"Minji, care to explain why you're late?" Her teacher asked, stopping in the middle of his lesson. Minji cleared her throat, "Sorry sir, I had trouble getting all my books out." She lowered her head.
"Alright, go take a seat."
As she was walking down the room, Woojin caught her attention, he made a teasing face whilst shaking his head at her. Minji chuckled at him before sitting down next to Nari.
"You okay?" Nari turned to her, whispering. Minji tilted her head, "Why wouldn't I be?" Nari chuckled, "You fully know what happened a couple of minutes ago. That thing about Jihoon and . . you know."
"Oh, that-" "I'm here if you want someone to get their ass beaten." She grinned.
"This is why you're my friend." Minji laughed.
The class went on per usual, Minji didn't really have the energy to listen to what the teacher was teaching, she tucked her head in between her arms while it rested on top of the desk.
Slowly falling asleep.
