I miss you so much
Now I finally feel our space.

"Stop calling me Euigeon." Daniel huffed, crossing his arms over his chest looking like a little kid with his bottom lip jutted out. Minji laughed at the boy, "I've known you ever since you were an Euigeon so I have the right to call you that." She playfully shook her head.

He rolled his eyes, tousling Minji's hair causing her to groan in annoyance. "Really, Daniel?" She sighed, running her fingers through her hair. "Really." He chuckled.

"Okay, where the hell are your friends cause I need to find mine." Minji looked around the hallways, not a sign of his or her friends. "Ugh, just stay with me for a little while. I'm friendless, I can't find them." He puffed his cheeks making Minji roll her eyes.

The boy then raised a brow and looked at her weirdly, a cheeky smile forming upon his plump tinted lips. Minji tilted her head, confused at his action. "So . . you and Woojin, huh?" He teased, she blew a raspberry at him making the boy laugh out loud. ⏤his deep laugh echoing through the quiet hallways.⏤

"How'd you even know?" She asked.

"I'm close with his friends, of course I'll know. The boys were teasing him the other day, poor kid." Daniel chuckled. Minji jutted her bottom lip out upon hearing that some of his team mates made fun of him getting rejected. Poor Woojin.

"Ugh, why are they even teasing him? It's not like he's the only boy to get rejected." She shrugged. How silly of them to do that to him, hope they get rejected too. She thought.

"True. I pity the boy, they need to take it easy on him. He just got rejected." Daniel sighed, stretching his arms. A couple of loud boys passed the hallway, giving the two a perfect view of who it was. Woojin and his friends.

The boy seemed so down.

Minji and Woojin had a brief eye contact, the girl was about to catch up to him but Daniel blocked her way before she could even take her second step. "Let him be, he needs space right now."

Minji sighed and stepped back a little, "I just want to comfort him." "It might be just comforting to you but you'll make him fall for you even more. Trust me, I've been there." He hesitantly chuckled, eyeing the girl. "When did that happen to you? . ." She asked.

Daniel grinned whilst looking at his shoes, "Let's just say, past is past."

Minji eyed the boy from afar, at lunch he would usually go over at their table to check up on her but not today. He walked passed and didn't even glance at Minji, it made her heart sink. It's painful to be rejected but it's more painful when someone gives you false hope.

Either way, it was a lose lose situation, she had to pick one. Of course she picked the less painful one.

"Duuude, I feel sorry for Woojin." Jinyoung sighed before taking a sip of his drink. Daehwi shrugged, "Well, It's not like Minji would date him just because she pities him. At least the boy knows where he stands, do you?" Daehwi asked, raising a brow at Jinyoung.

Jinyoung choked on his soda, glaring at Daehwi. He laughed, "That's what you get." Nari gently patted the boy's back, "Be careful." She sighed, shaking her head.

"I feel so embarrassed to be around her now, I don't want her to think that I'm only hitting on her because she broke up with Jihoon." Woojin sighed, burying his face in his palm. The only reason he avoided her was because he's embarrassed, especially what happened the other day.

The boy truly did like her, maybe it just wasn't the right time to confess or it probably was.

"It happens to everyone, Woojin. It's totally normal. I'm pretty sure she'll understand that you need space right now to sort your feelings out." Donghyun spoke, patting the boy's back. Woojin looked up, his eyes happened to land on Minji's.

Both held the eye contact no more than 5 seconds. The only difference was one's heart skipped a beat whilst the other's sank.

When will I move on from her? He thought.

*

Jihoon could perfectly see both Minji and Woojin's table from where he sat. He could also feel the tension between both of them from across the noisy room, the boy shook his head and returned to his food.

He felt somewhat betrayed? Jihoon knew anyone could confess their feelings to anyone but he just felt somewhat betrayed that his friend is literally going after his ex.

That was one rule from the bro code Woojin just broke.

Jihoon thought he could trust him. He wasn't completely angry about the situation, just annoyed. After all, he didn't want to lose his friendship to a broken rule. Usually after a rule is broken from the bro code, friendships normally become destroyed.

It wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do but that was how it went.

His mind was too occupied that he didn't even notice that Rae looked very distant and bothered. The girl kept her head down, her food untouched.

+a/n: i had writers block for like a day right at this point of the chapter.

Minji took one last glance at the school gates, the place wasn't filled with students anymore, it felt quiet and cold as no one was seen on sight.

The girl sighed, looks like he isn't going to walk with me.

She figured Woojin took the back exit so he could avoid her, it was understandable yet it made her a little sad. Minji began her lonely walk home, sighing a little louder as the time went on. She indeed felt lonely.

Little did she know that Woojin was behind her, he kept his distance ⏤the distance that represented how he felt from her⏤ so she wouldn't be able to see him. Yes he embarrassed himself in front of Minji but that doesn't mean he couldn't look out for her.

Woojin didn't want Minji in danger, that was the last thing he would ever want to happen to her. Though she rejected him, he still wouldn't want anything bad happening to Minji.

He still cared about her because after all, his feelings still remained the same.
