I miss you so much Tears are falling like this But why didn't I know?
A week has passed ever since that incident between Woojin and Minji. She respected his decision of staying away from her and she did the same, Minji gave him space and did what he asked for. Woojin did ask for space but the farther he was from her, the more he misses her.
He decided that now is the time to finally face her again. Woojin didn't want to mope around and complain how Minji didn't like him back, he wants to remain friends with her. Even though his feelings are unrequited.
"Look who we got here . ." Daehwi whispered to Minji, giving her a hard nudge on the side at the same time. "Ow! What was that fo-" "Looks like lover boy is coming this way." He cut her off.
Minji turned around, he saw Woojin striding down the hallway and definitely coming her way. A small smile formed upon her lips, he had the aura of confidence, it made her happy.
"Minji." "Woojin."
The boy plastered an awkward but cute smile making Minji's smile grow. "I'll leave you two, toodles!" Daehwi interrupted before running away.
"Can we talk?" He asked. Woojin's deep familiar voice embracing her, keeping her warm. It's been a long time ever since she heard that voice of his. Minji wasn't going to lie, she missed his voice.
But on top of all, she missed him.
"Sure, I⏤i mean, why not?" Minji awkwardly chuckled. It made her heart sink a little that she could feel the space between them. Being around him made her nervous and it was the first time she's ever been like that, Woojin usually never makes anyone nervous as he is easy to approach.
"Okay, let me start of by saying sorry. I know I acted like a little kid, avoiding you and all that. I really didn't mean to but I was just too embarrassed to face you again, that's why I did that. Also, I can't bear not being around you. I will admit that I still have feelings for you, I know that you can't return them but I'm willing to just be friends with you. That won't hurt the both of us, right," Woojin stuffed his hands inside his pockets, shyly looking down at his shoes.
"You don't need to say sorry. I should be the one saying that because I don't feel the same way as you. I would truly accept your feelings and gladly return them if I liked you back. I understand why you did that, everyone just needs a break from something and that's totally okay, we're all humans after all. Also, of course. If you're happy then I'm happy." She smiled.
The boy pulled her in for a tight hug, "Thank goodness! I thought you'll hate me forever." He let out a sigh of relief. Minji chuckled, "How can I do that when you didn't do anything to ruin my life."
"Oh and meet me at the field at lunch, I've got something for you." Woojin whispered before pulling away, a mischievious smile forming upon his pink tinted lips. "I'll be anticipating." She smiled.

"Senior prom is coming up very soon! Have you kids gotten your tickets along with your dates?" Their homeroom excitedly asked causing a wave of muttering to be heard from the students. "So, are you going to ask Nari to be your date?" Daehwi asked making Nari blushed who sat next to Jinyoung.
"Whaaat? Since when!? Why are you two keeping these to yourselves!" Daehwi gasped, clutching his chest. "I wanted to make it just us two, I was going to tell you, Minji and Jihoon but I forgot." He shrugged.
Daehwi shook his head and turned to Minji, "Are you going to ask anyone? Or accept anyone's offer?"
"Hm, if anyone asks. Why not? How 'bout you? Aren't you going to ask someone?" She asked, shrugging. Daehwi jutted his bottom lip out, "Nah, I'll thirdwheel these two here." He chuckled pointing at Nari and Jinyoung.
Nari laughed, "Yes please . . I kind of feel awkward around Jinyoung knowing that he likes me."
"Do you have any one in mind to ask for a date?" Jihoon turned to Daniel, raising a brow at his friend. "Nah, no one. I'll just spend the night dancing with my friends." He chuckled, shrugging.
"Lucky you, you have a date." Daniel teasingly nudged Jihoon's side, earning a small frown from the blond haired boy. "Yeah a date but not the person I want." He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "At least you're not alone." Daniel shrugged.
"I won't be. Rae will be the one alone, I'll hang with you guys." Jihoon chuckled, he shook his head at the blond boy.
"Whatever floats your boat, Park."

"Hey, Woojin told me to meet up at the field. I'll be right back, you guys can go ahead." Minji saw the rest of her friends in the hallway, informing them about her meet up with Woojin. "Ooh, you finally fixed things up, well done Min. Finally a problem that only lasted for less than a month." Daehwi laughed, shaking his head.
"But good on you." He continued, patting her back.
"I want to come, I wanna see what that boy has got for you." Jinyoung said, "Sure, you guys can come along." Minji shrugged before leading the way to the field.
As she and her friends got to the field, Woojin wasn't on sight and instead were greeted by a crowd of students circling something they couldn't quite see.
"What is up with these people? How did they even get out of class that fast?" Nari questioned, raising a brow.
Minji shrugged but walked towards the crowd, trying to get a sight of the commotion. "Hey look! It's Woojin!" Daehwi pointed to the center of the crowd whilst tip-toeing. "Oh my goodness girl!" He squealed as he pushed Minji through the crowd and to the center.
There she found Woojin with a rose in his right hand and a small fancy-looking paper bag in his left. He stared at her, his eyes full of affection, Minji could feel her ears burning and her cheeks tinted red.
At the back of Woojin, there stood some of his friends, ⏤Youngmin and Donghyun⏤ holding a fairly neat banner and in big red bold words were 'Be my prom date?'
Woojin slowly made his way to her, holding the eye contact which made her even more embarrassed.
The boy smiled, showing his infamous snaggletooth. "I bought your favourite flower." He jutted the red rose infront of her, Minji shyly grabbed it, thanking him.
"You don't have to do this y'know . ." She whispered earning a chuckled from Woojin. "Shh, it's all about you today, Min." He spoke before clearing his throat.
"Will you be my prom date, Minji?" He asked.
The crowd anticipated with a hopeful glint in their eyes, some students grasping their friends waiting for the girl's answer.
Minji smiled, "Of course."
With that, Woojin let out a sigh of relief, smiling at her. The students 'awed' melting upon hearing her sweet 'yes'. "Oh and this is for you." He gave her the fancy looking black paper bag, the handles being made out of gold ribbon, adding a classy touch to it.
"You didn't have to . ." She covered her face with her palms, "It's a gift from me. Think of it as a friendly compliment." He chuckled, eyeing her.
And it was. It was a friendly compliment from Woojin, nothing more than that. After all, they were just friends.
Jihoon watched from afar, letting out a deep sigh.
He didn't know why but tears slowly fell from his glossy eyes.
