Remnant's Knightfall (Rwby X Bane Reader)

Part 11

(A/N Just saw this on deviant art, I haven't laughed this hard in a while. I wish this would happen in the series, hopefully it does. But anyways on with the story.)

I left my room and strolled towards the docked bullhead, I was dressed in full combat gear and had my new gauntlets on, aside from all that I had one of the venom tanks attached to my back, enough to last me about 48 hours.

Hopefully I won't have to use this, but better safe then sorry.

I boarded the bullhead and saw my partner already waiting for me. She turned towards me and nodded in greeting.

"Ready to go?"

I nodded and put on my mask, I boarded the bullhead and we flew off towards the mission. I attached the tubes from the tank on my back to my mask, she observed my actions and gave me a quizzical look.

"So that's your secret weapon huh?"

I shrugged "In a way yes. Although I hope I don't need to use it."

She patted my arm "Don't worry big guy, just follow my lead and this should go smoothly."

"And if things go south?"

She smiled "Well that's why you're here isn't it?"

I thought back to my conversation with Ozpin.

(Three hours earlier)

I entered the office and walked over to the desk, Ozpin set down his coffee and placed his hands on the desk. He clicked a button and brought up a screen over the desktop.

"Hello Bane, now I know you don't like small talk so I'll get straight to the point. There has been a large group of Grimm sighted heading towards a village just north of Vale, I would like you and one other person to handle the situation."

About damn time I had something to do, school has been boring anyway.

I nodded and glanced at the screen, I looked at the various small villages all over Remnant.

So many outside the safety of the Kingdoms.

"Alright, where are we headed?"

He pointed at a small town not too far from Vale, I looked and estimated that it would take a few hours at most by bullhead to get there.

"Consider it done but why a partner?  I'm certain that I can handle this myself."

"While I don't doubt your abilities there has been several sightings of a Grimm not commonly seen here. As such you are being assigned a partner for this mission."

He held out a picture, I looked at the picture and saw an odd looking Grimm. One I recognized immediately.

The hell?

"A Beringel? Here?"

"Exactly why I don't want you going alone, should it show up you will need a partner to handle it. It's not as mindless as the other ones."
