The wind blew silently as she stood at the cliffside over looking the forest stretching on for as far as the eye could see. Though the view was quite a sight to behold she paid it no attention, her eyes instead gazing down at the tombstone resting in front of her.
As she knelt down he took a few steps back, not wanting to intrude on a private moment. He leaned back against a tree and watched her talking about her days in Beacon. What happened and what she had accomplished, with a smile she described the various events that lead up to today, before leaning closer and whispering something too quiet for him to hear before standing up and putting on her hood. At that he stood up and walked over to him, nodding slightly he placed his large arm around her shoulder and they both walked away back towards the home.
"I miss her...."
He looked down and saw several tears slowly trail down her cheeks, she sniffed and wiped her face with her sleeve before she leaned her head into his side. He gently picked her up, her slender frame weighing next to nothing for him, and placed her on his back before continuing on towards the road.
She looked surprised at his actions before leaning her head against his shoulder with a small smile.
"Thanks Bane, for coming out here with me. My Dad was going to but then he was called away on a mission. I'm just glad I'm not alone now."
He looked up and nodded.
"No problem Ruby."He made his way to the road where a black motorbike was parked. He climbed onto the front and revved up the engines before feeling two arms holding onto him.
"Hold on tight."
As he said that her grip tightened around his waist before he drove off down the road towards the town.
Ten minutes later they arrived at the dock where an airship lay waiting for them. She hopped off the bike and moved inside the ship as he stowed the bike in the cargo hold, taking a seat beside her he looked up at the sky as they began to ascend slowly.
She looked at him and smiled.
"Well, let's do our best in the festival Bane. For Vale and Beacon!""Indeed."
She held up her fist and he gently bumped it with his own, chuckling at her enthusiasm. As they drew closer to the academy he looked at the sky, watching the other airships flying around them, Atlas had come to Vale in full force. No doubt the general's idea of security.
We'll see just how secure it is in the end, won't we Ironwood?

As I poured myself a glass of whiskey I looked up at the screen to watch team RWBY face off against team ABRN.
They've gotten better since the last time they did a team battle, hopefully they'll be ready when the time comes.
As I downed the glass in one go the door to the bar suddenly opened and in walked a man that I hadn't seen before around Vale. He wore a grey and black waistcoat and black pants complete with a red cape that for some reason reminded me of Ruby, he strolled over to the bar and looked at me.
"Is this seat taken?"
I turned to face him and looked curiously at his red eyes before shrugging and motioning toward the seat.
"No, feel free."
He nodded and sat down before ordering a drink, as he waited our eyes were drawn to the screen as the crowd cheered for team RWBY as Yang sent the team flying. As they landed out of the arena a small smile formed on his face before his drink arrived, he poured himself a glass full before setting it down and waving away the bartender.
"Leave the bottle, there won't be any left when I'm done with it."
I looked at him slightly amused before placing several lien in front of the bartender.
"Same here. This should cover both our drinks."
He nodded and left as the man smirked at me.
"Well at least I won't have to put these on my tab, thanks kid."
I gave him an odd look before pouring myself another glass.
"Don't call me that, especially when I'm probably the same age as you."
He chuckled and took a sip from his drink before setting down the glass.
"Fair enough, so you here for the festival as well?"
"No, I just came back from a mission. Thought I'd stop for a drink before going to Oz."
As we talked he pulled out a flask from his coat and filled it up from the bottled before pouring the remaing alcohol into his glass.
"That so? I figured that Ozpin would be keeping most of the huntsmen on standby."
"Not all of them apparently, what about you? Here to participate?"
He chuckled before taking a sip from his drink.
"Ha, not really. Let's just say I have a fight of my own to finish."
As I chugged down the whiskey I looked up at the TV mounted on the wall. Team JNPR walked into the arena and as they did I slowly got up from my seat.
"And that's my queue. I'll be going now, Happy VITAL festival old man."
He laughed and chugged down the rest of his drink as I left the bar.
(Qrow's pov)
As the doors closed behind him I looked at my scroll and shook my head.
"So, that's who Raven is infatuated with huh? Interesting guy this Bane."
I looked at my now empty glass with a sigh before looking at the tv screen displaying the next team fight.
Just hope that he doesn't draw the wrong kinds of interest.
(A/N And so Volume 1.5 begins, sorry for the lack of updates. I wanted to focus on my other stories a bit, but I'm back now. Anyways I hope you all enjoy and as always have a lovely day/evening/noght)
