Warily circling the Grimm monstrosity that stood in front of me I glanced back at the missile pod, seeing the countdown out of the corner of my eye before I returned my attention to the more pressing matter at hand.
Two minutes and forty seconds until launch. Just need to buy some time.
Before I could begin to attack her the ground shook as the wyvern landed in the city. Roaring loudly as it let loose another wave of Grimm upon the city, I clenched my fists at the sight before turning to face Cinder. My hands raised as the four tendrils suddenly sprung into action.
I leaned right as the first one took a swipe at me, barely managing to avoid the sharp point before I brought my arm up and shot off the tip of the tentacle, her face changed to one of annoyance before the tip began to regenerate, the sharp point back on in about a minute before she dashed towards me.
I ducked under another one before grabbing the base of her tentacle's spike. Tugging her towards me while I raised my fist for a heavy strike only to be knocked off my feet as a bolt of fire struck me in the chest. I sailed backwards, landing on my back hard before I rolled up to my feet. With a scowl I grabbed a huge chunk of metal and hurled it towards her, the large fragment of the clock flew towards her at an alarming speed before coming to a jarring halt. Looking forward I saw the tip of one tendrils protruding out of it. Slowly raising it into the air before slamming it down towards my head.
I thew myself to the side just as it hit the ground beneath me. Shattering the floor with a loud crack as I got to my feet, with a snarl she rushed forward, using the tentacles to propel herself forward as she lunged towards me with her claws. I angled my body, barely dodging the sharp points of the tentacles before grabbing her wrists, halting her charge in midair as I swung her body downward into the ground with a hard crash.
As her body hit the ground I raised my foot to stomp in her head, but was suddenly struck in the chest by the tentacles. I sailed through the air before crashing into the wall of the clock tower, slowly getting back up to my feet before ducking under another fireball. As I began juicing up on venom she grinned maniacly before she raised both her hands and engulfed them in flame, the claws on her fingertips now resembling small flames as they began to glow orange.
Dashing forward I feinted right, catching her off guard with a few quick jabs before blocking her wrist with my forearm, stopping her claws inches away from my face.
I swung my leg up to her knee but was blocked by one of her tentacles before the same tentacle slammed into my chest with a surprising amount of force, the blow sending me to my knees before I rolled out of the way as she slammed her fist down towards the ground. A series of explosions erupted from the area I had been standing in moments before. Growling in annoyance I dashed forward, sidestepping another two tentacles before I increased the flow of venom, my strength now almost tripled before I closed the distance between us. Raising my fist and throwing a huge haymaker forward at blinding speed into her face, the impact hard enough to stir up a small cloud of dust as I struck at her face.
Is it over?
I slowly withdrew my fist only to pause in confusion as it didn't budge. As the dust cleared my eyes widened in shock as I saw her standing in front of me, my fist blocked by her palm as she grinned. Completely unfazed by the blow.
"Surprised?"
I growled and stepped forward, throwing a hard left into her face. Staggering her before threw a hard kick into her side, narrowly missing before she slashed me twice across the face. I sidestepped a third blow before I blocked her claws with my forearms, gritting my teeth as she slowly began to push me back.
I slammed my knee into her side as she broke my guard, grunting in pain as I felt her claws slash me across the back before I shoved her aside. She spun around and slammed her heel into my chest, forcing me back as she dashed forward and pressed her attack. I caught her wrists again but this time was met with a third strike, gritting my teeth as I felt two of her tentacles stab me in the back.
She grinned as her tentacles stabbed me before they suddenly began to heat up, my eyes widened at the feeling before I released her hands, reaching up and ripping her tentacles out of my back before I threw my leg back and forward. The kick hit her in the chest and put some distance between us as I gingerly felt my shoulders, the skin heavily burned and bleeding slightly.
Hearing her laugh I clenched my fist and rushed forward. Ignoring the spiked tentacle that slashed my forearms as I tackled her into a wall. Upon impact I reeled my fist back and puched her hard in the stomach twice before she slammed her palm into my chest, a blast of fire sending me back across the room.
I skidded to a halt before blocking another fireball with my gauntlets, looking back at the timer as I caught her tendrils before they could slash me again.
1 minute 13 seconds until launch. Not much longer now.
I turned back and was suddenly struck with a hard double leg in my chest. The blow loosened my grip long enough to release her tentacles from my grasp, she smirked and latched onto both of my arms with all four tentacles. Pinning me down before she slammed her palm into the side of my head hard enough for me to see stars.
When my vision cleared I was suddenly pinned down to the floor. I roared in pain as I saw her spikes stabbed through my left leg and both hands into the floor, small barbs on the spikes keeping me from pulling them back out. She smirked and sauntered over to me, stopping a few feet away before she held out her wrapped up cloak.
"You know Bane, Salem wasn't lying when she said you had her interest. A pity you chose to rebel against her instead of joining her. Much like your little companion."
She then dropped the cloak, letting it fall open to reveal a familiar pink and white outfit, charred at the ends with some parts burnt off entirely. My eyes widened as I looked over the burned outfit covered in ashes ; stopping at the sight of a small, elegantly designed umbrella laying on top of the pile.
......No...
She looked down at me, her claws extending until they were each six inches long. Raising them slightly until they rested against my throat, the edges drawing blood as she moved them up to my chin.
"...Oh don't worry, you'll be joining her soon enough."
I closed my eyes as I mentally counted down.
