Remnant's Knightfall (Rwby X Bane Reader)

Volume 1.5 Part 6

(Neo's pov)

We dashed around the groups of people fleeing their seats, running in a desperate attempt to escape from the Grimm. I dodged around several people before I saw several Beowolves running towards us, their canines showing as they growled and drew closer to us.

We quickly sprung into action, Bane rushed forward as the closest one lunged towards him and threw a powerful hook into the side of it's head. The blow shattered it's skull and sent the corpse flying into a wall with a crash, leaving a long crack from the impact before it began to turn to ash.

I vaulted over his shoulders and drove my blade into the next one's side, the thin but razor sharp blade cutting through it's skin and slicing up part of it's lungs. I flipped over it's body, yanking my blade out of it in the process as the body began to dissolve before we began clearing out the area.

As the last Grimm was crushed under his boot we both turned as we heard an announcement from the arena speakers. Saying that a safe zone had been cleared in Vaccuo, we both watched as the ships began to ferry people off the floating platform.

Bane nodded and turned to face me.
"At least they're getting the people out of the kingdom, considering that this one will be blown to hell."

We might be able to stop it you know...

He shook his head.
"I know Bruce, and unfortunately that man is the absolute mastermind when it comes to having a backup plan."

Before we could continue we heard screaming as suddenly more Grimm began to pour out from the service passages. We quickly sprang into action as they moved onto the clearing, cutting them down as more and more came out.

"Where are they all coming from?"
Bane shouted as he kicked away a Ursa's paw and drove his knife into it's chest. Kicking the body off the blade.

I slashed two Beowolves' paws off before he shot them both in the head. As they began to circle around us there was a crackling sound from the ground behind us. Looking back we saw several thick vines covered in thorns, slithering along the ground before they lashed out.

Wrapping around the Grimm, the tendrils began ripping them apart as several large Venus fly traps swooped down from the ceiling. The oversized teeth and jaws chomping down and bitting off the heads and upper bodies of any Grimm in their path.

Looking back we saw Ivy sauntering towards us with Croc and Glynda behind her, she raised her hands and the vines followed her body's motions, shooting up to latch onto a Nevermore trying to break into the arena. They constricted around it's throat, tightening their grip until the thorns forcefully cut through it's neck, decapitating the airborne beast in a gruesome fashion.

Bane sighed as he tossed a Creep's body aside as it began to dissolve.
"About time you lot showed up."

Croc looked around at the dissolving bodies.
"Looks like you two had things pretty well handled."

"Did you find the weapon?"
Glynda asked as she moved out of the way of several people running towards the edge of the arena, where the ships were taking people to a safe zone.

No, we've been too preoccupied with keeping the people safe from the Grimm.

I looked back at Bane, expecting him to confirm what we've been doing. Instead he was silent as he looked down towards the academy. We all followed his gaze, confused until we saw what captured his attention.
