Part 35

I looked at Yang in surprise, this was.....unexpected to say the least. After several moments of awkward silence I cleared my throat and turned around.

"Yang, you do realize that I'm currently in a relationship with Neo right? As such I planned to bring her with me."

Her eyes widened in surprise before her expression fell, she sighed and shook her head. I paused and looked at her with a confused glance.

"Wait, you didn't know?"

"I knew she was your partner but not much other than that."
She looked down and shook her head before fidgeting nervously.

"I'm sorry Bane, I...well...*sigh*, nevermind."

She walked towards the door but as she passed me I reached out and grabbed her hand. She looked back at me quizzically.

"I will be taking Neo to the dance as my date, that being said though once we arrive I'll be more than willing to share a dance with you, sound fair?"

She was confused at first before nodding slowly. As she turned to leave she looked back questionally.
"And she won't mind?"

"I'll explain to her, she's pretty understanding."

She  went in the doorway as I turned back aound, gazing up at the moon
I took out my flask and took a swig from it before looking over the school.

Well, first things first I'm gonna need a suit. One that hopefully won't get drenched in blood.

I looked at my watch for what must have been the fourth time since I got here. Neo was eager to go to the dance with me, but when I suggested that we go together to buy outfits she declined saying that she wanted to surprise me.

I adjusted the suit I was wearing before straightening the tie. I sighed and leaned back against a lamp post as I looked at the other couples walking towards the auditorium.

Still two minutes to the dance.

As I thought this I felt a small tap on my arm, I smiled and looked down at Neo.
