Remnant's Knightfall (Rwby X Bane Reader)

Part 33

(Bane's pov)

I watched as Yang was slammed into the ground, as she got back up Ruby charged forward with her scythe only to be sent flying into her sister as they both landed in a tangled heap of limbs and metal.

Croc stood in the center of the arena in a pair of sweatpants. He looked at Blake and Weiss, the two remaining people, and raised his fists.

"Lets see if you can do better than your teammates."

Blake charged forward and slid under Croc's swipe and spun aroud with her sword only to receive a powerful kick that sent her crashing into the wall of the arena. As she fell down he shook his head.

"Not bad, but not fast enough."

He turned around and saw Weiss speeding towards him with the aid of her glyphs. He dodged to the side but she still managed to deal a shallow cut across his chest. He pressed his hand against the cut as she grinned and pointed her rapier at him.

"How's that for fast?"

However her triumphant expression faltered as she saw the wound on Croc's chest begin to close. He grinned and licked the blood off his claws before getting into a wrestler's stance.

"Well you landed a lucky hit, but can lightning strike twice?"

She glared and dashed forward again, but this time Croc was ready. As she drew closer he ducked under her blade and grabbed her waist, before she could break free he bent back and suplexed her into the ground.

As he got back up he looked at all the students watching him.

"You all need to learn to work properly as a team. Unlike the uncoordinated assault these four attempted. Class dismissed."

As the students began leaving Croc walked past the the students towards his room. He picked up his jacket and threw it over his shoulder before exiting the arena. As the doors closed behind him the other students began chattering amongst themselves.

Ignoring them I walked past team RWBY and headed towards the cafeteria and sat down at one of the tables. As I ate team JNPR sat down beside me and looked at me expectantly.

"Can I help you?"

Jaune was the first to speak.
"It's about the new teacher."

"What about him?"

"Well...do you know him? I mean personally?"

I sighed and took a sip of coffee before turning towards them.

"Yes I know Waylon, he and I were roommates in Gotham."

Not entirely untrue, his cell in Arkham was right next to mine.

Ren gave me a curious look.
"I've never heard of a city called Gotham before. Which kingdom is it in?"

I looked over their heads and smirked as I motioned towards something behind them.

"Well why don't you ask him yourself? "

At this they all spun around and saw Croc standing over them. He glared at me before shaking his head.

"It's not something I like to talk about, and that's all I'm going to say on the subject. Any other pointless questions?"

Nora raised her hand.
"What kind of faunus are you professor?"

He chuckled at her question.
"I'll let you figure that out for yourself."
He replied causing her to pout.

"That's not an answer!"
