We walked out of the docking bay, making sure that we remained unseen before I kicked open a service entrance and pulled Cinder into the small room. She shut the door as I began to get undressed, taking off the suit and folding the clothes into a small pile before turning to face her as she passed me a dark black briefcase.

Taking it from her I held it out in front of me. Slowly a small part of it unfolded and pointed at me, the scanner moving over my body twice before it folded back into the handle and a soft beep was heard.

Identity confirmed: Bruce Wayne.
Activating Nightmare Cowl.

Slowly the case began to shift, small bits and pieces of it unfolding, slowly moving to cover my body. Several minutes later I stood in my armour, cracking my neck before I hit a button on my helmet causing my mask to fold over my face.

All systems functional.
Nightmare Cowl ready for use.

I nodded and stood up before turning towards Cinder, taking out a large knife from my belt and passing it to her hilt first.

"Next shift of guards will arrive in fifteen minutes, get to work."

She took the knife and cut a deep gash in her palm before turning her hand over, slowly she began to bleed onto the ground. But instead of the normal crimson liquid a dark black sludge began to ooze out of the gash, slowly forming a tar-like puddle on the floor.

I opened the door and we both walked down the hall, moving quietly and avoiding all contact with the spectators and staff. Shortly afterward we reached another room and quickly entered it, looking around I finally found a black canvas bag laid in one of the darker corners of the room.

"All according to plan."
I said as I picked it up, checking the contents before looking back at her.

"I trust you have this part covered?"

She nodded and I passed her three dark grey cylinders, each one with a small panel and two with green lights on the side while the other one was red.

"For the docking bay and exits, don't take long and return to the ship immediately after your finished."

She left another pool of blood on the floor and shook her head at me with a slight glare.
"Don't tell me how to do my job Wayne."

I narrowed my eyes and slowly activated my semblance, causing her to feel petrified as the smoke billowed around her.

"Be careful of your next words Cinder. Don't forget you're merely the diversion in this plan, easily disposable if my queen deems you irrelevant."

Silently she nodded and I backed up before slinging the bag over my shoulder and making my way back through the hall, eventually reaching a small ship docked next to the one she came here on. Looking inside the pitch black entrance I saw several dark shapes moving around, red eyes glowing in the dark as the Grimm snarled at me from within the hold.

You'll be let out soon enough, for now sit tight.

I stepped into the ship and flew down towards Beacon, looking up and waiting for a bit as I docked beside the academy.

"Won't be long now....."

(Cinder's Pov)

As my blood pooled onto the floor I heard footsteps heading towards the room. I spun the knife in a reverse grip and stood poised to strike as the door was opened and two guards looked into the doorway, pausing as they saw me before they began to raise their weapons.

In the blink of an eye I crossed the distance and spun around, slashing through the first one's throat. The blade's material negating his aura, rendering it useless as he fell down bleeding heavily from his jugular.

Without pause I kicked aside his gun and ran him through, the blade protruding through his armour as he let out a small unintelligible noise and fell down beside the corpse of his partner.

I nodded and sheathed the knife under my cloak before moving the bodies into the room, hiding them from view as I continued moving down the hallway until I finally reached the service entrance. As I peeked around the door into the entrance of the arena I picked up one of the cylindrical devices and rolled it forward until it locked onto the wall with a click as the light now flashed a bright red.

I continued and made my way back to the docking bay where we came from, placing another one right in the middle of most of the airships. Satisfied with my success I made my way towards the other main entrance only to duck back into the doorway as I saw multiple guards and other people loitering around the area, showing no signs of leaving anytime soon.

With a grow of annoyance I looked back at the room and shook my head before I slashed my palm and made a small puddle of my blood on the floor behind me. Placing the knife back under my coat before I closed my eyes and concentrated.

Come forth.

Slowly the blood began to bubble and ripple until a Creep crawled out from the black liquid, red eyes looking at me expectantly as I attached the last cylinder to it's back and pointed towards the guards.

"Go on then little one. Do what I created you for."

With a gurgling growl the small Grimm dashed forward out if the room, snarling and snapping at the people as it dashed through the center of them. The guards finally noticed it and started shooting at it, killing it just as it scampered into the center of them as more gathered around to see what the commotion was.

I laughed as I watched this happen before I activated the devices. A loud explosion was heard as the cylinder began dispensing a gas over the crowd. I watched as one by one the gas took effect, they screamed in fear, panicking as they stumbled around each other, looking as if their worst nightmares was chasing them. The petrified guards even began shooting others that came too close.

Fear was heavy in the air as the gas spread over the entire entrance before it dissipated. But by now the damage had been done, I smiled maliciously before I closed my eyes, feeling their fear. As I relished the terror I hear a gurgling sound from behind me, looking back I smirked as more began to crawl out of the puddles of blood, drawn out by the fear of the crowd.

I watched them all flocking behind me before they poured out of the doorway, mauling and attacking every person in sight of them as I observed the grim scene play out with a feeling of satisfaction.

"And so begins the fall of Beacon."

(Bruce's Pov)

Just then an explosion rocked the arena, a loud siren rang through the air as the Atlas fleet began to move towards the source, leaving Beacon unguarded. As I watched the bombs detonate I heard her voice.

It has begun my knight, move now. Strike while my creature's diversion hides your presence.

I nodded and flew towards the top of the academy before I made my way along the roof and placed the device on the highest point. As I armed the device I suddenly paused, memories began to flash through my mind, strange ones and yet...oddly familiar.

His conflicts, his enemies, and....his defeat.

Defeat.....at the hands of him.....the only one who broke him.....

A loud shriek interrupted my thoughts, I looked up and watched the Wyvern flying over Vale, heading straight towards me. Dropping more Grimm onto the roads below as it slowly began to decend.

I watched the huntsman's attempts to fend the horde of Grimm off with a shake of my head.

Only delaying the inevitable. Soon my queen's army will cover the town and take over the entire kingdom. And then the others.
