Remnant's Knightfall (Rwby X Bane Reader)

Part 28

I stood in front of the desk with Pamella and Neo standing on both sides of me. Ozpin looked at Neo before turning towards me.

"Goodwitch said you had a partner on the last mission, I assume this is her?"

"That's correct."

He paused and thought for a moment, then sighed and nodded.

"Well she hasn't harmed anyone at the school, yet. So I'm willing to allow her to stay with you as your partner. However if that does change then she'll be sent straight to prison in Atlas."

I nodded and looked down at Neo, she raised her scroll towards Ozpin.

Thank you for this Headmaster.

"Well Neopolitain, I am granting you a second chance. Don't disappoint me."

She nodded and he turned towards Ivy.

"You however Miss Pamella Isley, have injured several of my students as well as a few staff members of my school. James has requested that you be brought into custody of Atlas."

"If I may, Professor, Have a word in private."

He looked at me curiosily but nodded and I walked with him to the other side of the room, he then turned to me and nodded.

"Very well, speak your mind."

"I have reason to believe that Ivy's actions were not done of her own free will. Rather she was being influenced or controlled by another person, and I think I know who."

"An interesting suggestion, may I ask what gives you this idea?"

I held up the charred remains of the insect-like creature, He looked it over and then looked back at me.

"This was on Ivy?"

"Yes, and while I'm not sure how it got on her I have a good idea of who did it. And I believe you do as well."

"I see.....so, what do you intend to do?"

"....I'm not sure. For the first time in my life I am at a loss of what to do. I know next to nothing about her, I don't have a strategy or plan for her."

"Well Bane, she might be powerful. But no one is invincible, not even her."

"I know."

I looked at Ivy and the back at Ozpin.

"She was merely the tool Ozpin, Salem is the one to blame, not her."

"Be that as it may, the other students might panic once tgey see her around them considering the situation."

"Actually, I think that the only ones that saw her in person were team RWBY and JNPR. As well as Sun and Neptune. The rest of them have no idea who she is."

"I see.....very well I will arange for her to be able to stay here for now."

"Thank you."

He nodded and turned towards the window overlooking Vale while I told Neo and Ivy the situation. As the elevator arrived I looked back over my shoulder at him.

"A storm is coming Ozpin, do you think that your students will be ready for it?"

"....Only time will tell Bane."

I nodded and stepped into the elevator, as we were heading down I felt Neo tap me on the elbow before holding up her scroll.

What was that about?

"I'll tell you later, for now I'll show you two where you will be staying."

I led them to my dorm where I had set up a second, slightly smaller bed next to my own. The room was simply furnished with both beds, a closet, a bookshelf filled with various volumes and a small work bench for my weapons. There was a bathroom and window overlooking the emerald forest.

"You two will stay here for now, until the headmaster sets up another room for you."

Ivy walked around and opened the window before looking out at the emerald forest.

"I could just go back you know, the green is my home not here. Besides I'm sure that I'm not exactly wanted here."

"Ivy listen to me.....what happened there wasn't you. You were being used as a puppet, someone else was pulling the strings. Ozpin knows that."

I took her hand in mine and pulled her away from the window.

"For now consider this your new home. And I will keep you safe, I promise."

She smiled and sat on one of the beds, as I let go of her hand I looked at Neo who was glaring at Ivy. I walked over to her and patted her head.

"In the meantime, me and Neo have some things to handle. We'll be staying the night elsewhere so this room is yours for now."

She nodded and lay down on the bed.
"Alright then, I'm going to get some rest."

I took Neo's hand and we both walked out of the room before heading out to Vale. Eventually we reached a dust shop and walked inside.

What now?

"Knowing Roman he'll show up, sooner or later."

And when he does?

"I'll give him a choice, and if he's not an idiot I won't kill him."

She seemed conflicted by my answer, I sighed and knelt down to her.
"You don't want me to kill him do you?"

Honestly, not really. He might be a jerk sometimes, but I don't want to see him die. At least not by you.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Cinder told us what happened to Adam, I was honestly surprised by the news and at the sight of his body. I don't want to see him like that as well.

"What do you want from me Neo?"

You know what I want.

I groaned and looked out the window, after a few minutes I nodded and turned back towards her.

"*sigh* He'll wake up with a nasty headache but otherwise he'll be fine.....mostly."

Thank you.

As she said that the doors to the store opened and in he walked with several White Fang grunts behind him.

"Well speak of the devil, I'll handle him. Can you take care of the others?"

She smiled and her eyes flashed white before nodding and silently moving towards one of the grunts. I crept up behind the two guards beside him and slammed their heads together, I grabbed Roman and threw him out of the store.

As the others heard the commotion they raised their guns only to both get axe kicked into the ground as Neo flipped onto their heads. She spun and scissor kicked another's gun out of his hand before driving her knee into his face knocking him unconsious.

I walked out of the store and grabbed Roman by the collar before raising him up to my eye level. I pinned him to the wall and leaned closer to his face.

"I was going to kill you outright, but thanks to a certain ice cream girl I've had a change of heart."

I dropped him and he gasped before slowly looking up at me only to see the blade of my knife four inches away from his face.

"So Roman Torchwick. Live or die?
Make your choice."
