Part 30

As the sun began to rise I opened my eyes and looked up at the ceiling thinking about the events of last night.

So, me and Ivy aren't the only ones. Others were brought to this world as well, but where did they end up? They could be anywhere in the four kingdoms.

My thoughts were cut short as two arms wrapped around my chest, I looked back and saw Neo yawn before hugging me.

"Good morning to you too."

She nodded and got out of bed, after stretching for a bit she turned around and walked into the bathroom. I sat up and got dressed right before she walked out of the room.

As I got into my gear I noticed something on the hilt of my knife, as I drew it from it's sheath I saw a dark black liquid smeared across the blade.
I looked at it in surprise before slowly laughing as I wiped the blade clean with a cloth.

So you bleed, then even you can die.

I sheathed the knife and looked at the bloodstained cloth.

I wonder....

(One hour later)

We were walking through Vale and Neo looked at me curiously.

What are we doing here?

"Ozpin said that the whitefang, or at least the members in Vale, are being led by a new person. A person who has already put three other teams into the hospital, as such he asked me to investigate."

She nodded and then paused as we stood outside of juniors club.

I doubt he'll be hiding here, not to mention the club isn't open yet.

"Junior has eyes and ears all over Vale, if there's whitefang activity somewhere in town he'll know where."

So once we do get there then what?

"We get them to tell us where their new base of operations is."

You sure you can get them to talk?

"When I'm done with them, they'll be more than happy to talk."

We entered the club and saw Junior at the bar with Melanie and Miltia beside him. He looked up and nodded as I walked towards him.

"Bane, good to see you again buddy."

"Hey Junior, hey girls."

He stood up and we shook hands as the twins excitedly greeted me and Neo, who smiled and began chatting with them at a nearby table.

Junior laughed at the sight as he handed me a bottle of beer before picking up his own.
"Looks like they're getting along well."

"That they are and I'm glad for that, but anyways back to business. I need your help with something."

"Well then, what can I do for you?"

"I need info on any recent whitefang activity in Vale."

He thought for a minute and nodded.
"I might know of something going down tonight at the CrowBar. According to my sources they're going to be delivering something to someone in that area."

"What would that something be?"

"I'm not sure, but it's being escourted by heavily armed guards so I'd say it's probably pretty valuable."

"Alright then, thanks Junior."

"No problem Bane, although know that I will need your help for something in the future."

"Sure thing Boss."

I raised my bottle and he clinked his against mine before we both fininshed our bottles. As we did I heard laughter and looked over at the table and saw the girls talking together, the twins were sitting on either side of Neo giggling as her shoulders shook in silent laughter.
She smiled as they all continued to chat, Junior followed my gaze and looked at me.

"She must really be special to you."

"Yeah, she is."

He seemed surprised at my answer but simply nodded as I got up and we both walked out of the club.

Well?

"I got what we needed, we're good to go."

She nodded and we continued on our way. When we reached the bar I looked down at her and tapped her shoulder.

"Hey, how about after we finish this we head over to the club for a drink?"

Is there ice cream involved?

"For you, anything you'd like."

She smiled and nodded before we both went into the bar before sitting down at table in the back. After two hours a group of men showed up wearing hooded jackets and caps. One of them walked up to the bartender and whispered something to him before he nodded and went under the bar.

A few seconds later he came back up with a small black box the size of a flask and passed it to the man, he took it and left with the others trailing behind him.

I think that was the courier.

"You don't say?"

We both got up and began discreetly following him until he began weaving through a crowd of people. I looked at the crowd and then at him before walking back.

If we push through the crowd to reach him he'll know immediately, we got to catch him another way.

I looked at Neo.
"Can you telleport us to the rooftps?"

She nodded and took my hand before we dissapeared.

(Courier pov)

As soon as I entered this crowd I looked back only to see the two were gone, I sighed in relief as I continued on my way. I thought that couple was tailing me for the longest time, maybe I'm just getting paranoid, then again better safe then sorry.

I pushed through the crowd, slinked through the back alleys and doubled back several times just to be sure that I wasn't followed. As I turned around the corner I leaned on the wall and sighed, all the while still not sure if I was completely safe.

I got up and ran through a doorway only to get closelined as I passed through, I hit the ground and quickly scrambled back to my feet before I was grabbed and hoisted into the air by a pair of heavily muscled arms, I followed them with my eyes and took a nervous gulp once I saw his face.

Fuck, fuck, fuck! If I knew he was involved I would have never agreed to this job.

I tried to struggle free from his grasp only to be knocked out by a powerful blow. As I slowly regained conciousness I tried to get up only to fall back down on my back, I groaned and looked up only to be staring into two red eyes.

"Boo!"

Startled I lurched back only for him to grab my collar and hold me up. I turned my head and saw that girl with him, she was just sitting there with an umbrella in her hands.

Before I could move the big guy set me down in a chair as he scooted another one in front of me. He looked me dead in the eyes through the red lenses of his mask.

"Now, while my lady doesn't like torture I have no qualms about doing it, so before I ask questions I'll give you one chance to avoid the pain."

He leaned closer and drew a vicious looking knife from his belt. He grabbed my shoulder and pulled me closer while tapping the flat of the blade against my cheek.

"Tell me where your new base is and I'll consider letting you go. Or you can be really stupid and stay silent."

I shook my head, my loyalty was to Adam Taurus and the WhiteFang. Seeing this he shook his head and spun the knife so he was holding it in a reverse grip.

"Well then, another one bites the dust."

He threw me on the ground, stunning me for a second, as I sat back up I saw the blade heading towards my head at an alarming speed.
