Sean's POV
We were driving to the woods because,
Leila wanted a walk in the woods.Something was fishy.
I glanced at Leila to find her chuckling to herself.
First I thought, I should ask why she's laughing to herself like that but then I dismissed the thought. We reached the woods and Leila sweetly laughed like a kid in excitement. Then she ran deeper into the woods with her bag.
I just followed behind while Leila ran through the trees that were creating an alley for her to pass through. Leila was giggling all the way and she would stop by a tree every now and then to observe everything.
I didn't know what was so exciting about a walk in the woods, I mean, I'm pretty sure Leila must've had one before.
I took this time and observed Leila more closely. She was wearing a sandy brown button up shirt tucked in her blue shorts.
I was wearing a royal blue button up shirt with skin pants.
Leila and I spent a lot of time just in silence, walking past these trees; making them the witness of our shadows, allowing them to chatter on our footsteps. Some were even leafless and that was what made them stand out from other usual ones.
I could tell, Leila was loving it. The way she would just giggle without any reason and smile along the way.
We sat at the foot of a leafless tree. It was a young tree. I laid down with closed eyes and a satisfied soul. Then I felt some movement nearby. I knew it was Leila so, I didn't bother to have a look at her.
But, after a few seconds, I felt her come closer to me. I tensed up a little. She shook me gently and called my name, "Sean."
I didn't reply back, I knew it would irritate her but maybe the fox had changed. She didn't say or even do something harsh. Instead, she just shook me again and innocently said,
"I know you're awake. Stop acting. " It was actually in a I'm not in the mood to fight tone.
I slowly opened my eyes to find her with a raised eyebrow.
I sat up and wiggled my eyebrows to question her.
"You must've climbed a tree for once in your life... At least for once." She said while shaking her head slightly while assuming.
I just nodded in response. And she continued,
"I was thinking...how about...you help me climb up this tree. I tried once before but I gave up." She informed while taking twice the time actually needed to tell.
I gave it a thought for a moment and decided to help.
"Fine, but if you fall down and have amnesia, not my fault." I said while showing her my hands in defense.
She just excitedly nodded her head. We both stood up and while Leila was busy observing the tree and its branches, I got behind her, knelt down and holding her up tightly, lifted her.
