Sean's POV

I took off my shoes and sat near Leila, actually I sat where I was supposed to sleep and yeah that place was close to her.

I lied down and stared at her in such utter darkness. She was asleep by now which was honestly, surprising.

I tucked back some of her hair falling on her face.

She wasn't sleeping in peace. Her face was full of doubts and restlessness. Her forehead was burning and her whole body was cold.

What could've possible happened? What can change someone's happiness in such sorrowful tears.

Her smile isn't just a smile. It holds those secrets and powers that can amaze one. Her smile can change someone's bad day into a lucky one. Her smile covers a whole painting of sorrow and pain.

I closed my eyes with a screwed up mind. I was over thinking trying not to think. My every thought was somehow leading its way to Leila.

I was thinking of another meeting I had to attend the next day. Then I don't know how I started thinking that if I didn't reject Leila, she'd be the Queen of Supernatural Beings. She'd have to attend such meetings too.

I'd never. I'd never burden her with kingdo-

Cut it Sean! Cut it! You'll reject her! She won't be the Queen! You wouldn't do whatever shit you're already thinking!

Just then, I heard a whimper. My eyes shot up and I saw Leila with a wrinkled forehead.

"Urghh!" She softly whined.

Is that even possible Sean? Stop being such a lover boy!

She partially opened her eyes with a raising panic and I don't know why, I was so calm.

Suddenly she relaxed as soon as she saw me.

How could she see me now? It's way too dark for a human.

She again closed her eyes and mumbled,

"Sean, are you here?"

Yup! She's surely sleepy.

"Forever." I plainly replie-

Wait what! Did I just say that.

My consciousness was literally scolding my inner vampire at peace.

At this answer, Leila's eyes jerked open and this time, I saw hope overpowering hurt.
