Sean's POV
"Stop it, dude. You know girls are complicated. So is Leila." I explained to Max as we sat in his office and drunk.
Champagne mixed with Oxycodone in a really high amount. It is really really harmful for humans and so they should avoid it but because of Vampire's hardiness, really high amounts make us a little drunk.
"Oh come on. I think girls are like puzzles, the more you try to understand them, the easier they'll be. Besides, I think Leila just needs some brainwashing and then you're good to go. You should probably try to be with her rather than force her." He blamed me referring to the time when I told her to stay another night.
"What?! I forced her? I forced her! Oh for goodness sake! I think you need to remind yourself who forced whom to spend a week with Leila." I suggested.
"So what, even if we did. I mean, your relation's much better now" He tried to defend himself.
Yeah, being better to have an end one day. My inner vampire taunted.
"Leila is a really complicated girl. She even doesn't about herself. Her kind and environment are totally different. She's a human but living with supernaturals have made her... made her... I don't know. She wants to be with someone but doesn't at the same time. She admits she's wrong but tries to neglect it. Her anger, her choices, her negativity is just like a vampire. But, I know it's not natural. It's like she doesn't know the other way. The Humanly way. Oh gosh! She's hard... and tough, she analyzes things with a vampire's perspective and acts like a childish human. What you expect from me after all of this!" I tried to explain him but I knew it would be nearly impossible. I myself was feeling so confused.
"I've noticed her vampiric behavior too. She's possessive over her kind just like vampires." He informed me.
"But, what else could she do? She has two over protective brothers, their way to friendly mates, a jerk buddy and a 'ride together' best friend. Weird how some people get too much love." I said feeling unblessed by the end.
"Are you jealous of her?" Max asked amused.
"Of course not!" I retorted.
He chuckled in response and said, "Why don't join in the squad too? I mean, that way you'll get what you want. What you say?" He said being jackass.
After silence - of - sorrow - and - shock for a couple of minutes, I was finally able to say,
"I guess, it's time, I should finally jump from this building."
"Come on Sean. It ain't that bad." He said trying to sound cool.
"Yeah, as if you know how it's like. No one understands how I feel or what I'm actually trying to tell. Leila...is not easy. She's... she's kind of a playgirl." Max's falling expressions were worth watching. His face lost all colors.
"I didn't mean that kind of playgirl. I meant that fierce one. Ready to take on any challenge, any danger. I've... I've noticed this passion and fire in her eyes. These tides of rebel. It's like she fears noting. Nothing at all. She's always ready to take on any challenge and she knows she'll win. Through any way, she just knows she'll win. Sometimes, I feel kind of scared. Not for myself, for her. I feel like at one point, she'll start challenging herself." Then after some minutes of complete silence I continued again,
"Sometimes, I feel too insecure, cause I know, she can do any thing to have it all. She can love you and she can hate you... She's... dangerous. Even her own self." After all of this I was finally able to get myself some senses. All this time, I felt like I was slipping in a trance, from where, if not soon, I'd never want to get out.
