"She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings."

Sean's POV

I entered the guestroom where Zack was supposed to rest.
I had thought that I should meet Zack too.

But, the scene in front of me had left me heartbroken. Leila was hugging Zack and no offense but I wanted to kill them both right now.

Fine! I knew Zack was a jerk but Leila! She knew she had a mate. She should be distant from every other guy. Particularly Him.

'Ahem ahem! You're not her mate, okay. You'll reject the bond. Remember?'
My consciousness reminded me.

I fake coughed to finally show my not so noticeable presence. And thank God they noticed.

As soon as the both so-called-best-buddies felt my aura, they broke their hug and looked at me.

Leila's expressions were plain with little hint of a smile and a fine glow.

'Of course. Why won't she glow. She finally met her buddy.'
I couldn't help but agree with my consciousness.

Zack the jerk was a little guilty and ashamed. Well, that's what his expressions were like.

"Umm...I heard about your pack and the fight."
I said as awkwardly as I could.

I didn't say that I was sorry because I wasn't.

He just nodded in response.

"Wait. Sean you're the King." Leila said suspiciously.

"Yeah." I simply replied.

"How come people are fighting like that and you don't care?" She asked aggressively.

"It's not like that. I knew." I said as I turned my head away with a raised eyebrow.

"What!? You knew?" She confirmed as she stood up from bed.

"Yes." I plainly replied.

"Now why would you just shove it away?!" She practically yelled at me.

'Looks like she doesn't care about her life.'
Again, my consciousness.

"Leila." I said her name in a warning tone to which she responded with a clenched jaw and fists tightened in punches. She again sat down and bluntly glared the window in front of her.

What's the window's fault? Why are you glaring it? I'm sure you'll burn a hole there...

"Why would you do that?" She whispered to herself as if disappointed.

I lightly sighed and after a minute replied,
