"I am all in a sea of wonders. I doubt; I fear; I think strange things which I dare not confess to my own soul."

Sean's POV
"What do you mean how? Hon, your the one who bites..." Emily said sarcastically while trying to defend her monstrous friend.
"Babe, your friend sucks you with her words." I replied with an eye roll.
What the hell were they thinking...
"Are you guys nuts? Like what are you guys...Some online matchmakers? Eve, these two are stupid but you, you know me, the way I want things. I...I can't believe..." I bursted out with a sigh at the end...
"That is absolutely why it is all happening." Eve replied.
"Seriously? You guys are here planning a date for me?" I again stated.
"It's a dare not a date." Max said.
"Yeah, really. " I said in a fake acknowledging tone.
"So, in other words, King Sean Ryan Strigoi is giving up, as in quitting?" Emily said with narrowed eyes...I know she was trying to evoke my attitude and honor...
But was she an idiot?
"You're just like your friend. Naive and stings with words...But there's no way I'm doing this shitty thing..." I told her once and for all.
"Chill up dude..." Max said defending his girlfriend as he threw his hands in the air... I don't know how could everyone be so relaxed and eased up as if it all was nothing but a piece of cake.
I knew she wasn't his girlfriend but I also knew that she would be in some months. Anybody could figure of out the way they were acting around each other.
"Really? Then why don't you spend these so called just-five-days with her? Huh?" I said with a raised eyebrow. I knew I was really crossing my limits but what they did was also beyond theirs.
"Sean." Eve said in a warning tone.
"Sean, whatever you think. It's a dare, complete it or...quit. I know, right now your hating me but...a fact's a fact. Your quitting. So should we count you in?"
All the time Emily spoke, I couldn't just ignore the fact that she was Leila's best friend. Whenever I tried to think of her differently, Leila's best friend returned with great sarcasm.
I was silent. What was I supposed to answer?
'Yes ma'am. I'm ready to swallow my bigger-than-a-mountain attitude'.
Or
'Keep dreaming bitch.'
I didn't have a bad impression for Emily neither could I have. She was special to Max and I couldn't hate someone so important to him. Besides my kind of mom and best friend did it all too so, I couldn't only blame her for all.
But hey, she was the only one here arguing and hell, she really WAS Leila's friend. Her confidence wasn't seeing who stood across her.
I just looked at them and sighed with a clenched jaw.
But, they all were looking at me with hoping-eyes.
I thought, for a moment, it would be fine to hang out with Leila. But the very next moment, my consciousness was like,
'Ahem, ahem, you're talking about Leila Martin. She's unpredictable. She'll hold a knife and stab you like an old, crazy, 50 year old woman whose husband cheated on her. So, don't prove that you're that much of an idiot.'
