Leila's POV
After talking to Eve for a while, I got to know much stuff that I didn't.
1) Emily met them not only once but actually, she was a really long-conversation topic in that house.
2) Emily was most probably Max's mate. I don't know if it's a good thing or not.
3) Sean didn't like Zack much. At least that's what Eve said, but why would he not like Zack? I mean, I'm sure, they're not having any generations-long rivalry.
4) Nobody except Sean and I knows about rejecting the bond. Trust me, I'd also love to keep it that way.
5) My life is an all-time mess and I'm tired.
I escaped into a clear area. It was breath-taking. It was like a passageway leading to another small cabin which I guess was servant quarter, a barbecue joining it. As I passed through the passageway, the sight of pool at one side and patio on the other had me stunned. The patio was so pretty with greenery all around and cute umbrellas hanging from above and not those baby pink umbrellas but classy kind of.
Why God gives this much pretty things to jerks?
I called Emily. Her secrets hurt me a lot. Secrets between friends is the beginning of the ending of their friendship.
"Hey! Leila, How are you? You good Where are you? Is everything fine?" She excitedly said and somehow that was irritating.
"Hey. How's everybody at home?" I replied ignoring all her other questions.
"Everybody is worried sick about you and we've been trying to find you since you left."
"Hmm."
"...Hey? All good?"She asked doubtfully.
"...If I ask you a question, will you answer it honestly and I mean honestly?"
"Of course." She cautiously replied.
"Do you know where I am?" I fired.
"What?!" She tried to play innocence.
Douche! Am I talking about my best friend?
"Emily. Do you know...where I am?" I asked with darkness in my voice.
"...Yeah." She finally replied after some time.
"Who told you?"
"...Max but it's not his fau-"
Rule no. 1 in friendship. Never say he's right if he's not.
"How does he know?"
"...Ryan-"
Oh boy!
"Does everyone else knows it too?"
Of course. I could seriously picture her becoming nervous because she lied about 'everyone being still worried.'
"...Yeah and-"
That would be enough.
"How many times have you met Eve and the others?"
Rule no. 2 in friendship Keep it straight
"What?! Wait, Leila-'
Cat caught your tongue.
"Just answer."
"...About once or twice before."
Amazing.
"Was this whole dare game your plan?"
