Sean's POV

"And why is Sean Ryan Strigoi smiling like maniacs?" Suddenly, Eve, from nowhere came into view as she smirked.

Busted!

"What?...Nothing" I told her which she didn't believe.

"Hey...what is it?" She asked as she glanced at the bottle of Coke in my hands.

I also looked at it and answered with a smile as some memories, which I knew were never to leave my mind, rushed in,

"Oh, it's... nothing" Though I knew, it was much more than nothing.

"Yeah, I just saw that." Eve said with a smirk and I looked at her.

I smiled and shook my head in disbelief.

"I'm glad that you're happy. You've finally learned how to smile without any reason." She said as she cupped my face in her hands and gently shook it.

I just took her hands in my hands and kissed them and smiled.

"I just can't wait for the day she'll move here." At this, my smile and heart fell from a mountain top.

Eve was so happy that I finally found my mate but she didn't know that we were going to reject this bond.

I smiled weakly knowing it was fake just at the surface.

Eve frowned but instead of questioning, she kissed my forehead and said sweetly,

"Have a nice night."

"You too." I also wished her as I also kissed her forehead.

We both chuckled and went to our rooms. I got inside and noticed how dark it was. I got to the window and drew back the curtains a little.

Dark. It was all I saw and nothing else. It was one of those mysterious nights which give you comfort and a freak at the same time.

The darkest nights hold the deepest of secrets.

Suddenly this saying came into mind. I wonder what secrets this night has for me.

I sighed as I looked at my bed. And do my sleep and tiredness flew away.

I don't know why but at that moment, I despised my bed a lot.

You want her to be along!
My inner vampire poked me as if it knew the feeling, which, I'm sure it didn't.

Learn how to confess to yourself! You need her. This bed is ordinary without her!
My consciousness scowled at me.

I do confess what I have to, to myself. Stop trying to mess up! I know I'm just not sleepy right now...

So, with a mind full of excuses, I went to my office and did my pending work.

Leila's POV

Sean went away and I kept on seeing him leave.

I was satisfied. Though I didn't know the reason. I felt...comfortable.
