(Edward's POV)

As we landed Lily finally noticed that we weren't home. In fact, we were back in Italy. "What are we doing here Edward? Are you personally taking me home?"

"Yes Lily. But not in the sense that you will be staying. I came to bring you to visit your family. You mentioned that you missed them. And once school starts, you wont be able to see them for a while unless they come to us. So I thought that I would bring you here to see them." She stared at me with a blank expression on her face. I could read her mind but it was as blank as her face. Then she suddenly started hugging my face.

"Thank you Eddie." I smiled and hugged her back. She was genuinely happy. Her thoughts even said so. We went to the car rental place beside the airport and Lily got us one of her cars. Apparently the Volturi have cars everywhere for her adventures. At least the car had a car seat. We drove to a hotel near the Volturi castle. While Lily fussed the entire time saying that we should stay the night in the castle, I told her that this was just part of our mini vacation. She went along with it for now. We went to a boutique that was near the hotel so Lily could get a new outfit. "You can't possible expect me to go see them wearing clothes that smell like a wet dog! They will wonder what I have been getting into. And if they find out about the werewolves on the reservation, they could be in some big trouble just for existing! And I don't want them to hurt Jake just because he's related to them."

"Who's Jake?" That was a name that I knew I had heard somewhere.

"Jacob Black. He lives on the reservation with Billy Black. Billy is his father and Chief Swan's best friend." That's when it hit me who he was.

"I don't like him being near you. I don't like any of the wolves being near you. I need you to stay off of the reservation for now on." She looked at me as if I had admitted to killing a kitten.

"But he's my best friend Eddie. And he isn't a werewolf like the rest of them. How could you request that of me?"

"Lily, you're being unreasonable."

"And you're being ridiculous!" We had a stare off until someone interrupted us.

"Princess?" We looked towards the voice and saw a member of the Volturi guard.

"Renata!" Lily ran to give her a hug.

"I thought that was your scent I found. What are you doing back home darling? Did it not work out again?" Lily shook her head.

"Not quite so. There are some bumps. But Eddie brought me here so I can see you all before school starts." That's when she noticed me for the first time. I guess she would only pay attention to Lily since she would have been her top priority along with Aro, Marcus, and Caius.

"Thank you for bringing our princess to us. She is highly needed right now." I looked at Renata confused as did Lily.

"What are you talking about Renata?" She looked at Lily like what she had to say was tragic.

"It's Aro. He hasn't come out of his chambers in a while. I am worried about him. He hasn't allowed Lady Sulpicia to enter." Lily's face turned dark.

"Take me to him Renata." Her voice had also taken on a darker and more sinister tone. She was a dark Lily. Renata bowed and walked her out the store. I quickly purchased Lily's clothes and caught up to them. Lily had just got off the phone with Jane telling her to prepare a dress for her. She changed her hair color to white as we walked not caring about the people around us. But I soon noticed that none of the humans were looking at us. It was like we were invisible. I wanted to ask about it but knew now wasn't the time.
