(Jasper's POV)

I was in charge of watching Lily today. Edward was away hunting, Alice was out shopping for some new clothes for Lily, Carlisle and Esme were away for the weekend, and Rosalie and Emmett were also taking a weekend getaway. Lily was still sleeping so I was scanning the fridge looking for something that she can have for breakfast. I wasn't much of a cook like Esme so this was going to be a task all by itself. She has a very particular diet that requires a cooking skill set. "Jasper?" I looked over to the kitchen entrance and saw Lily standing there in her unicorn nightgown. "What are you doing with your head in the fridge?"

"I was looking for you something suitable for breakfast. I apologize that it isn't ready yet like with Esme." I felt no anger or any feeling of being upset from her. I felt understanding and forgiveness. "Is it really okay?" She nodded.

"Grab two eggs, the vanilla almond milk, two slices of butter bread, butter, salt, pepper, and the strawberry jam." I grabbed everything she asked me to get. She put on a child's apron and grabbed an adult apron, a frying pan, and a spatula. "I'm going to show you how to make an easy breakfast for me. First, crack the two eggs into a small measuring cup. But be very careful. We don't wanna bust the yolks. Next, put two tablespoons of butter in the pan and have the eye on a medium high heat. Spread it around the pan to evenly coat the bottom of the frying pan." She was giving me step by step instructions on how to do everything. I fixed everything exactly how she said to and it all looked great at the end of the cooking process. And she was right, it was easy enough. Turns out the milk was for her to drink.

"How was the food Lily?" I felt immense pleasure and happiness as well as satisfaction. "Was it really that good?"

"Yeah! I loved it. Anyway, it's time for me to brush my teeth. Can you handle the dishes or should I help?"

"Go brush you teeth. I'll put them in the dishwasher." She smiled at me and disappeared. I quickly loaded the dishwasher, put one of the pods in it, and started it up. By the time I finished wiping off the counter tops and the table, Lily reappeared fully dressed. But her hair was still a mess. "Let's go fix your hair." I picked her up and ran her up to me and Alice's room. I know Alice would have something for me to do her hair. I found a light blue scrunchy that matched the shirt she was wearing with her denim jumper. I grabbed a hair brush and oil sheen spray and used those plus the scrunchy to put her hair into a bun. She turned her hair raven black today. I felt appreciation coming from her. I sent her waves of pleasure at being able to help her back to her. Most of our interactions are similar to her and Edward in the sense that we communicate silently. "What do you want to do today?"

"I don't know. Me and Kavina aren't meeting up today for practice until next weekend. Laurent is out of town with his parents on a three day cruise. And James has three appointments today." She looked like she was thinking hard about what she wanted to do. "I know! Let's go to Italy to see the Volturi!" I felt myself stiffen. "It's okay Jasper." She grabbed my hand and flooded me with calming waves. "They won't hurt you. They're more scared of me being upset so they wouldn't do anything to earn my wrath." I felt the truth behind her words and in turn agreed. I booked a direct flight there while she grabbed one of her backpacks and filled it with some things.

"We have to be home by midnight. That is when Edward is suppose to be home."

"I know Jazz. Don't worry though. We'll be back in time." I nodded and we set off for the airport. She forgot her medication so I held her while sending her waves of calm throughout the flight. She was very appreciative of it.  When we got off the plane, I was about to go and rent a car but Lily brought me to a special parking lot where there were twenty cars in total. "These are the Volturi cars. Pick one and that's the one we'll use for this visit."
