Ano nga ba ang Cell Group?

Bakit kailangan ng Cell Group?

Bakit mahalaga ang Cell Group?

Acts 5:42

Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

Lead the prayer:

The Cell

Cells are the basic building blocks of all life forms. The cell is also the basic life form of the church.

The cell is the Basic Christian Community. The church is formed in cells and is the sum of it.

The church is the body of Christ. The body is made up of cells. Christ is the DNA of the cells. The cell is the church.

- A small group is a weekly gathering of three or more people who meet in a home, school, or workplace. They hang out, study the Word, and pray together.

Kilala nyo ba kung sino ang Father of Small Group o Cell Group?

-John Wesley

Vision and Mission:

Mission: Cell Group; the Great Commission

Matthew 28:19 (NIV)

The Great Commission

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Vision: Renew the vision regularly – (Nehemiah Principle) Every 26 days, which is about one month, we renewed our vision? Bakit kaya?

In Nehemiah's story of rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, halfway through the project people got discouraged and wanted to give up. Like many churches, they lost their sense of purpose and, as a result, became overwhelmed with fatigue, frustration and fear. Nehemiah rallied the people back to work by reorganizing the project and recasting the vision. He reminded them of the importance of their work and reassured them that God would help them fulfill his purpose (Neh. 4:6-15).

Although the wall took only 52 days to complete, the people became discouraged at the halfway point: just 26 days into the project! Nehemiah had to renew their vision.

The Cell Vision

We believe in the twin harvest that is about to take place in these last days:

Financial harvest

Harvest of great multitudes of people

Let's focus on the great harvest of souls.

Jesus said the harvest is great... (Luke 10:2)

Jesus also called His disciples fishers of men. (Matthew 4:18-19)

How are we going to catch or gather the harvest? There are two ways to catch fish:

Through a fishing rod (One by One)

Through nets (Multitudes)

We believe the cell group is the net where in we can reel in the great catch. It is the better way.

Ngunit ano nga ba ang mas kailangan natin as a Christian, as a leader, as umyf, as a member of UMC.

Actually, ang kailangan natin as a Christian ay TRANSFORMATION?

(genetics) modification of a cell or bacterium by the uptake and incorporation of exogenous DNA

The act of changing in form, shape or appearance

It's a transformation from the inside out.

Classic example: cancer cell, kumakalat sa katawan pag di naagapan that will result to death.

Kaya napakahalaga sa transformation na yung cell ang minomodify by incorporating an exogenous DNA. Ang DNA daw ng isang Kristiyano ay (1) Christ-like in character

(2) growing(Multiplication a.k.a The Great Commission)

Kailangan natin ng Transformed mind, heart and spirit.

Bakit mahalaga ang Cell Group?

Acts 5:42

Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

As we face the challenge of establishing life groups, we need to understand fully the value of the life groups, their effect in the growth of the church as well as their place in the extension of the Kingdom of God.

Growth in Quality and quantity:

1. God is interested in the individual's salvation as well as the salvation of the multitudes (2 Pet. 3:8-9, Matt. 9:35-37).

2. Healthy churches are also growing churches.

3. The church needs to see itself as a life-group church and not a church with life groups.

4. Make the life groups a priority in the church's weekly calendar

5. It is personal: The leaders as well as the group relates to each other on a very personal level in both times of joy and times of distress.

6. It is an excellent way to Evangelize. Prayer is our powerful weapon.

7. Multiplication should be the goal of each life group.

The Four Steps in Cell Group

Win – This involves evangelism through the cell, through concerts, through crusades, through church drama plays and those converts on Sunday services.

Consolidate (Pag-isahin) – Consolidation is the care and attention that we should give to every new believer in order to reproduce in him the character of Christ with the aim that he fulfills the purpose of God for his life which is to bear fruit that remain.

Disciple – The equipping of new believers to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and equip them to become future leaders and disciple-makers. "If you learn something and it changes you, you have made progress. But if you learn something and it changes others, you are changing the world".

Send – The final stage where in the believer is sent into the harvest.
