"Mello, this is Y/N."

Rod Ross introduced me to Mello, who looked me up and down.

"What's this? Assassins are men."

"Oh really?" I asked, pulling my gun out and holding it against the blonde's head before he could respond. He stared into my eyes before speaking.

"Never mind, she can stay."

I tossed my gun up in the air so it twirled before I caught it and placed it back in my pocket.

"Damn right I'm staying."

I felt his eyes watching me as I walked away.

He found me a while later.

"Y/N, I just came to apologise for judging you so quickly."

"It's fine, just don't do it again."

He nodded and I watched him this time as he walked away.

"Cute." I thought.

"Hey, Mr Mello! You still need to make it up to me."

He turned back. "How?"

"Take me out for dinner or something, I don't know."

"Ok, wait for me outside at seven."

I sat across from Mello a few hours later in a posh restaurant.

"Well this place is swanky." I said.

"Yeah, so what are you going to have?" He asked.

"The most expensive thing on the menu."

"Of course." He said with a sigh.

"Nah I'm just joking. I'm not even hungry."

I flipped my menu to the dessert section.

"Wow, there's so much chocolate desserts!"

"I know, that's why this is my favourite place!" He grinned.

"Why don't we get one of each dessert and share them?" I suggested.

"Alright! I don't normally share chocolate, but if we get one of each that's a lot, so I don't mind."

A while later, I put down my spoon with a groan.

"I think I'm about to die but it was SO worth it."

"I know right." He agreed. "I'll go pay the bill, wait for me outside."

He soon joined me outside.

"Thanks Mello. I won't expect a second date, I don't have time and we probably couldn't top that anyway."

He gave me a wicked smile.

"Oh I'm pretty sure we could still top that on this date. That was just pre-dessert. If you let me take you home, I'll treat you to some real dessert."

"Well, I've got time for that."
