Another Fucking Mafia Story

Don't get any big ideas, they're not gonna happen.

I'd been contacted by some Rod Ross guy to come work with him and his gang. Turned out he meant the mafia. They were paying me well so I thought "Fuck it, I'll do it."

Rod was the boss but had started taking orders from another dude, known as Mello, who was quickly rising to become the new leader. I'd been warned to be careful around him, as he could be quite scary. I soon realised this was true when he acquired a Death Note and managed to scare a god of death into working for him. I'd also heard he'd brought someone's head to the gang (literally) and had used a freaking missile to get the Death Note. This dude would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. Although his ways were often dodgy and illegal, I admired his drive and determination. I was mixing in illegal activity myself now, so couldn't exactly judge him anyway.

His work wasn't all I admired though. He was hot as fuck and I wanted him. Of course I knew I had no chance, so I just watched him afar. Well not from too far since we worked together. He wasn't exactly nice to me, though he was more harsh on others, but I figured that was because we didn't cross paths too much.

He drove me crazy. He was tall, had blonde hair he wore in a bob, stunning blue eyes, always dressed in leather [A/N - Sometimes in leather skirts, lolol NekoMakesFanfic 😉😂 jk though I wish) and wore a red rosary bead. His leather pants had laces at the crotch, which drove me wild. It didn't help that he always sat so provocatively, legs spread, one knee bent with a leg up on the couch. The couches were all zebra print which complimented his outfit perfectly. Sexily. (I don't think that's even a word but whatever)

He often had a visitor at the hideout, a guy named Matt, they seemed close and I assumed he was Mello's boyfriend. No one had told me and I didn't dare ask, I didn't think he'd be too happy if he heard I'd asked about his business. Matt seemed like a cool guy, so I couldn't blame either of them, but I was jealous as hell. I was nobody though, just a stupid girl with a stupid crush.

It was killing me though and it was getting harder for me to be there. I wished his cock was getting harder for me...uh, anyway.  So I decided to leave. The job was a load of bollocks and pining for someone so untouchable wouldn't get me anywhere. He was the boss now so I had to tell him but he didn't respond too happily.

"What? You can't leave, your job is important, we need you."

"It's not important and anyone could do it. I've already decided, I'm leaving."

"But why?" He demanded to know.

"I just don't like it here." I replied with a sigh.

He stared at me, then looked down and started fiddling with the rosary bracelet he wore. I looked too and saw he was wearing his leather gloves indoors as usual. I almost smiled, but shook my head instead.

"Is it me?" He asked. He looked at me again when I didn't reply. "You're saying it's me." He stated.

"It doesn't matter why, I'm leaving now." I turned and left, just stopping to grab my bag on the way out. I cried the whole way home, with my head leaning against the bus window.

Mello pov

I watched her walk away, because of me apparently. Why did no one ever like me? It wasn't so much that we needed her in the gang, but I needed her.

*Timeskip*

Y/N pov

A few days (well, nights) later I went out for a drink with some friends. They weren't close friends but I needed to get drunk. I was still thinking of Mello constantly. I missed him so much, though we weren't even friends. I was hopeless but told myself I just needed time.

I'd gone to the bar alone and was waiting to order when I saw a familiar face. He noticed me at the same time and I tried to turn away but Matt came straight over to me.

"Hey Y/N, are you ok? Mello told me you left the job?"

I just shrugged.

"He's over there." He pointed and my heart felt heavy when I looked to see Mello, gorgeous as always, with a drink in his hand and talking to some of the mafia people.

"You should go talk to him." Matt suggested.

I shook my head.

"No, I have to go actually. Tell your boyfriend I said goodbye."

I turned and got out of there as quick as I could. Once I was outside, I ran down the street in tears.

Matt pov

"What? He's not my boyfriend! He likes you!" I called after her but she was gone. I tried to follow her but some shitheads decided to congegrate right in my path.

"Get out of my fucking way!" I shouted, but they didn't hear me over the music. One of them grinned at me, and raised his glass at me. I wanted to smack it out of his hand but I didn't have time to lose.

When I got to the door, she was nowhere to be seen. I asked the bouncers but they said a few people had just left so they hadn't noticed her or which direction she went.

I sighed as I leaned against a wall and lit a cigarette.

"Damn you, Keehl." I said aloud.

Everytime he liked someone, he just scared them off. The concept of being nice wasn't something he was familiar with. I'd talked to him about this with no avail. I was the one who'd have to listen to him moaning about it for weeks now. I knew didn't even have any contact information for her. He only had the number of the prepaid phone all members were given, and which she'd left behind in the hideout. Otherwise I'd have contacted her myself for him.

I finished my cigarette and put it out in one of those environmental bins or whatever. I missed being able to throw it on the ground and stomp on it, but the bouncers were right beside me.

"You fucking douchebag, Mihael, when will you ever learn?" I thought as I made my way back into the club.
